HOW FRANCE LOST CANADA
By Pastor Max Solbrekken, D.D.
Here is a letter submitted to the Edmonton Journal by Miss Maud Strike and carried in that newspaper on January 26, 1981. It is an amazing bit of history, which I found fascinating and I hope you do also. It is a real eye opener, to say the least!
The same murderous Devil that perverted Popes and Cardinals of the Roman Catholic Church and their loyal puppet kings of France did to the genuine Believers in Jesus Christ on Bartholemew Day on August 24, 1572, has possessed fanatical Jihadists and Islamists causing them to kill Jews, Christians and moderate Muslims in Shariah controlled countries today!
History has a unique way of repeating itself and these terrible acts in the name of false religions prove that Satan has not changed. He is no respecter of persons but will use willing slaves and lackeys who get their jollies out of hateful murderous acts! HOW TRAGIC!
I applaud Maud Strike for writing such an honest accurate report and the Edmonton Journal for printing it! M.S.
Letter to the Editor

Dear Sir,
How France Lost Canada
The French regime made the mistake of not allowing Huguenots (Protestants) to enter Canada . A few came during the reign of Henry 1V who gave them a few privileges under the Edict of Nantes, April 13, 1598, revoked in 1685, and sent 15,000 Huguenots to the USA .
Many Huguenots left France and settled in Britain . The Massacre of St. Bartholemew where thousands (70,000) of Huguenots were slaughtered because they were Protestants on Bartholemew Day, August 24, 1572 during the reign of Charles 1X, son of Catherine De Medici (Queen of France) who instituted the slaughter, and French leaders named Guise. The first blood was shed in Paris .
Among those who went to Britain was GREGOIRE LEGONIER who became a successful business man. He obtained British Army commissions for his two sons. One became a Field Commander.
He masterminded the fall of France in 1759. He sent Colonel Jeffery Amherst to take Louisburg in 1758. Legonier planned the campaign in 1759 and 1760 to capture Quebec and Montreal . A French Huguenot driven from France by Louis X1V brought France to her knees in Canada , making Canada British.
The BNA is safe in British Government hands. From generations of experience they know what is better left alone.
Signed
Miss Maud Strike
