There IS Hope and A Future as we honour faithful spiritual Leaders and Pioneers

Last night I drove up to Edmonton to be at People’s church to share in honouring Rev. Dr. Max Solbrekken and his wife Donna. It was Max’s 80th birthday and 50thyear in gospel ministry.
Max has traveled all over the world in Healing and evangelism, as well being a pastor and teaching. He has been on radio and TV. Through his simple faith and bold presentation of the Gospel of Hope and Healing tens of thousands of lives have been touched. Max has always been a man who was more interested in following what he felt the Lord was leading him to do then just doing what would be pleasing to on lookers.
We live in a world full of followers in the Christian realm but there are very few leaders. Max has always been a leader. Max like most real leaders may not always have been understood but I honour him for not quitting or side stepping the challenges the Lord has brought his way.
As we heard last night Donna has stepped up to raise the family when Max followed the Lord’s leading him in traveling the world for the sake of Sharing Hope healing and a future for people. The family has also sacrificed a lot of time of with Dad not being there as he helped others around the world.
It was wonderful to share in a time of honouring a man and his ministry who at 80 is not slowing down too much. After the formal time, as people came and greeted Bro. Max and Donna, true to heart and call he was praying over anyone that was there with a need.
Thank you Max for continuing to be a leader in the Kingdom of the Lord. As long as there are heart motivated leaders like Max, There IS Hope and A Future.
