THE INTEGRITY OF GOD'S HEART

      "So He fed them according to the integrity of His heart; and guided them by the skilfulness of His hands." (Psalms 78: 72)

  GETTING TO KNOW the Heart of the Father is the secret of power with God! Learning to love what God loves and hate what God hates puts us in the centre of His will. By doing His will we align ourselves with Him and against His enemy.

   The Holy Scripture says: "But without faith it is impossible to PLEASE HIM: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him." (Heb. 11: 6)of God

   We receive FAITH through God's Word! The Bible says: "So then faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God." (Rom. 10:17). 
   If God is all in all and has all power everywhere, then His Word must be True. And if His Word is perfect and flawless, then, by believing His promises we have the assurance that what He has promised will surely come to pass!

   God' Word says: "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." (Heb. 11: 6).  
    What does that mean? It means that God's Word is sound, credible and trustworthy.  It means that you believe God's promises will be fulfilled as He said! Faith is like owning the title deed for a property which you have never seen.

OUR HEAVENLY FATHER HAS

OBLIGATED HIMSELF TO LOVE US!

  I believe that the most vital thing a person can do to gain the FAVOUR of God is to love Jesus Christ and to believe the record that He has given of His Son. Our Lord made this AWESOME statement:  

   "At that day ye shall know that I am in My Father, and ye in Me, and I in you. He that hath My commandments and keepeth them, he it is that loveth Me; and he that loveth Me shall be loved of My Father, and I will love him, and will manifest Myself to him... If a man love Me, he will keep My words: and My Father will love him, and We will come unto him and make Our abode with him." (John 14: 20, 21,23)

   JESUS CHRIST plainly laid out our duty toward Him, if we are to please the Father! He was asked what we have to do to work the Works of God. He answered: "This is the work of God, that ye believe on Him Whom He hath sent." (John 6: 28, 29)

   The only thing that we must do to get our Heavenly Father's attention and love is to love, honour and worship His Son and to believe the record He has given of His Son and Saviour of the world!

   God had obligated Himself to love us and make His abode in us by the Holy Spirit if we LOVE His Son. St. John warned: "If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which He hath testified of His Son.

    "He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made Him a LIAR, because he believeth not the record that God gave of His Son.

   "And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He that hath the Son hath Life; and he that hath NOT the Son, hath Not life." (1 John 5: 9-12)

    We must get to KNOW our Father's heart if we are to receive the 'Faith of Jesus'! Getting to know the heart of God is the KEY that unlocks the power of God and the Gifts of the Holy Spirit in the lives of those who love the Lord and desire to be used in His Kingdom!

               I WANT TO KNOW HIS HEART!

   Not only do we need to love Jesus Christ and believe the report that God has given us about His Son, but we need to love what God loves and hate what He hates!

     St. Paul cried out: "That I may KNOW Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformable unto His death. If by any means I might attain to the resurrection of the dead.

   "Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.

 "Brethren, I count not myself to be apprehended, but this one thing I do, forgetting those things that are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark of the High Calling of God in Christ Jesus." (Phil. 3: 10-14)

    The APOSTLE JOHN was known as the "Disciple whom Jesus loved" because he was tender hearted and childlike in His faith; who "rested on Jesus' breast" (John 13:21-28) . 
     His writings are filled with such LOVE and the bold declaration of Jesus the Son of God, Who is the Word of God from before the foundations of the world (John 1:1-14; 1 John 1:1-2).

      He stated: "These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have ETERNAL LIFE, and that ye may believe on the Name of the Son of God. 
    "And this is the confidence that we have in Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will He heareth us; and if we KNOW that He hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of Him." (1 John 5:13-15)

      DAVID also knew the HEART of God! His love and dependence upon Him was so strong and his repentance genuine and sincere! That is why God called him, "A man after My heart" (1 Sam.13:14; Acts 13:22).

   His hunger for spiritual fellowship with God proves that he KNEW the heart of God: He said: "As the hart (deer) panteth after the waterbrook, so panteth my soul after Thee, O, God. My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God?"  (Psalms 42: 1,2)

MY HELP COMETH FROM THE LORD!

   Here is a good example of his total dependence upon God: "I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills! From whence cometh my help? My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth...Behold, He that keepeth Israel shall neither nor sleep." (Psalms 121:1-4)

    As King David scanned the hills around Jerusalem searching for the enemy, he asked: "From where will our HELP come?" He didn't have other armies to call upon. There was no one else to help him, so he called upon God and laid his anxious moments to rest.

    Here is his ANALOGY: My help will come from the One who made heaven and earth. Since God made the heavens and the earth He is certainly able to protect the holy city of Jerusalem. He will take care of us because He is eternal, has all power and does not slumber nor sleep. The enemy may be hiding in the hills and is planning to strike, but God will help us!

THE PSALMS REVEAL THE HEART OF GOD!

    The 78th Psalm reveals the great heart of God. After He had severely chastised the Children of Israel for their backsliding, faithlessness and provoking Him in the Wilderness, He freely FORGAVE them!

   The Holy Record says: "But He being full of Compassion, FORGAVE their iniquity, and destroyed them not: yea, many a time turned He His anger away, and did not stir up all His wrath. For He remembered that they were but flesh; a wind that passeth away, and cometh not again."

  Here is the clincher that gripped my heart. He sends His sunshine upon sinners as well as believers. He lets His rain fall on the ungodly as well as the godly. He sees the sparrow fall and cares about even the smallest of His creatures. (Luke 12:6; Matt.10:29)

    "So he fed them according to the INTEGRITY of HIS HEART; and guided them by the SKILFULNESS of HIS HANDS." (Psalms 78: 72)

   Two things struck me: The integrity of His heart and the skilfulness of His hands! Who would be foolish enough to question God's integrity? That would be a sacrilege. 
     It would be bordering on blasphemy and courting spiritual suicide. And it would be agreeing with the vilest of all LIARS, Lucifer the fallen archangel, who deceived Eve in the Garden of Eden!

   The PROPHET DAVID stated: "The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times." (Psa.12:6); "The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple. The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.

  "The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever: the judgements of the Lord are true and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. Moreover by them is Thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward'" (Psa. 19: 7-11)

    Is God good, loving and kind? YES. Can God lie? NO! Can God make a mistake? NO! Can God fail? NO! Can God get tired, sick or die? NO! Is God trustworthy? YES!!!

    TALK ABOUT INTEGRITY - God cannot break His Word! He said: "Look on Me and be SAVED, all the ends of the earth: for I am God and there is NONE beside Me. I have sworn by Myself, the Word has gone out of My mouth in righteousness and shall not return, That unto Me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear." (Isa. 45: 22,23)

    He cannot lie because He is TRUTH. (John 14: 6); "Sanctify them through Thy truth: Thy Word is truth." (John 17: 17); "Thy Word is True from the beginning: and every one of Thy righteous judgments endureth forever." (Psa.119: 160) 

 One of the Lord's Seven Compound Redemptive names is 'JEHOVAH TSIDKENU' which means 'The Lord our Righteousness'. (Jer.23: 5,6). He judges in righteousness and in truth! The Bible declares: "But of Him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption." (1 Cor. 1:30)

   St. John the Beloved stated: "My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an Advocate with the Father Jesus Christ, The RIGHTEOUS.  
  And He is the propitiation (covering, satisfaction, expiation) for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world." (1 John 2:1,2)    

   "Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe; for there is no difference. For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by His grace through the REDEMPTION that is in Christ Jesus." (Rom.3: 22-24)

   If it is possible for a man to comment on such things as the ATTRIBUTES of GOD, I say humbly being only human and therefore imperfect, that Righteousness is one of the many attributes of our Heavenly Father. Everything about Him is anchored in Righteousness and Truth.

           THE SKILFULNESS OF HIS HANDS!

   If there is anything that I could say about His hands, it is that He always reaches out to help His creation. And when He had concluded His amazing work of forming the worlds and creating all living things, Almighty God our Heavenly Father said that it was GOOD!

   Not only did He create man in His own image, but His HANDS brought SALVATION to a sinful, sick and dying world, when they were nailed in anger and hatred to the Cross on Mount Calvary!

   When Jesus Christ - God's Pascal Lamb - offered Himself for the sins of the world, meeting the demands of Divine Justice, He had fulfilled the Words of impending Judgment He had given to Satan in the presence of Adam and Eve: 
    "And I will put enmity between thee and the woman and between thy seed and her Seed. It (Christ) shall CRUSH thy Head and thou shalt bruise His heel." (Gen.3:15)

   The hands of Jesus that were laid upon the sick and suffering in Divine Healing is a picture of the SKILFULNESS of God's Hands! 
    Any good thing that mankind has embraced, invented and executed upon this terrestrial ball for the past six thousand years of recorded history, has been only through the intelligence bestowed upon us by our Creator and God!

    We must never forget that His hands that shaped Adam from the dust of the earth and healed the multitudes of sick and suffering humanity during Christ's earthly Ministry and made the supreme sacrifice through the shedding of His holy and pure blood, is even now keeping watch over our earth which continues steadfastly in its orbit and will do so until our Saviour returns to earth to rule and reign!    

    The Holy Scripture states: "God, Who at sundry times and in diverse manners spake in time past unto the Fathers by the Prophets, hath in these last days spoken unto us by His Son, Whom He hath appointed heir of all things, by Whom also He made the worlds. 

     "Who being the brightness of His glory, and the express image of His person, and UPHOLDING ALL THINGS by the Word of His power, when He had by Himself purged  our sins, say down on the right hand of the Majesty on High." (Heb.1: 1-3) Amen.

Kim Jong-un reportedly executes blood relatives of once-powerful uncle as purge continues

North Korea ruler Kim Jong-un has reportedly ordered that all blood relatives of his executed uncle be put to death, continuing an apparent purge of all he sees as threats to his reign.
South Korea's Yonhap News Agency, citing multiple sources, reported Sunday that "extensive executions" of relatives of Jang Song-thaek had been carried out.
"All relatives of Jang have been put to death, including even children," one source told Yonhap. Among those reported dead were Jang's sister Jang Kye-sun, her husband and Pyongyang's ambassador to Cuba, Jon Yong-jin, and the North Korean ambassador to Malaysia, Jang Yong-chol, a nephew of Jang, as well as his two sons.
In addition, Yonhap reported that the sons, daughters, and grandchildren of Jang's two brothers were executed as well.
Jang Song-theak, an uncle of Kim Jong-un by marriage, held some of the most powerful positions in North Korea before he was arrested and put to death on December 12 of last year on charges of contemplating a military coup to overthrow the young dictator.
It was not immediately clear how many people related to Jang have been executed, nor was it immediately clear when the deaths took place. However, Yonhap reported that the ambassadors had been recalled to Pyongyang in early December and it is believed that their executions took place shortly after Jang's.
"Some relatives were shot to death by pistol in front of other people if they resisted while being dragged out of their apartment homes," another source said told Yonhap.
Some relatives by marriage, such as the Malaysian ambassador's wife have reportedly been spared the purge and sent to remote villages with their families.

                     I BELIEVE ALL

OF GOD’S WORD!

       Jesus rebuked His disciples who doubted that He had risen from the dead: “… O fools, and slow of heart to BELIEVE ALL that the prophets have spoken.” (Luke 24: 25); 

    “Why are ye troubled? And why do thoughts arise in your hearts? And when He had thus spoken, He showed them His hands and His feet.” (Luke 24: 38-40) 

    “Afterward He appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them for their UNBELIEF and HARDNESS OF HEART, because they believed not them which had seen Him after He was risen.” (Mark 16: 15)

     St. Paul testified before King Agrippa: “But this I confess unto thee, that after the WAY which they call heresy, so worship I the God of my fathers, BELIEVING ALL THINGS which are written in the law and the prophets: And have hope toward God…that there shall be a resurrection of the just and the unjust.” (Acts 24: 14,15)

    JESUS said: “Ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free.” (John 8: 32)                      

     During the past 50 years it has been my privilege to serve God and my fellowman in many nations of the world as a Minister. 

    By God’s grace I have spoken the words of Jesus Christ thousands of times to huge crowds of spiritually hungry people. 

     It has been my joy to look at a sea of faces and upraised hands in surrender to the Lord and hear their prayers of repentance and faith in response to the preaching of God’s Word!

JESUS CHRIST ALONE SAVES!

    Our LORD said: “I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No man cometh unto the Father but by Me.” (John 14: 6);  “I am the door: by Me if any man enter in, he shall be saved.” (John 10: 9-10); “I am the Good Shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.” (John 10: 11)

   “Behold I stand at the door and knock. If any man hear my voice and open the door, I will come in unto Him and sup with him and he with Me.” (Rev. 3: 20);

    “Come unto me all ye who labour and are heavy laden and I will give you rest.” (Matt.11: 28); “He that cometh unto Me, I will in no wise cast out.” (John 6: 37)

    I have led hundreds of thousands of precious souls in the ‘SINNER’S PRAYER’ in our crusades using those power – filled words.

   And I have personally witnessed the changed lives of many people after they sincerely and humbly bowed their knees and hearts before Almighty God in repentance and faith. Jesus Christ’s finished work on Calvary’s cross and His victorious resurrection from the dead changes lives!

      One of the things that has upset me, however, is that even though the Gospel of Christ is totally reliable, compelling and available, and the Holy Bible has been proven beyond a shadow of a doubt to be inspired, authoritative and inerrant, yet multitudes still refuse to receive the risen Christ as their Lord and Saviour!

      They doubt the Word of God, but believe a damnable lie without an honest investigation of the facts! How could this TRAVESTY happen? The only possible explanation is found in God’s Word:

   “The god of this world hath blinded the minds of them who believe not … that they may be damned.” (2 Cor.4: 3-4; 1 John 2: 11; Rom.1: 28)

    “And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

    “For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.” (John 3: 19, 20)

   WINSTON CHURCHILL once said: “A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on.”

    Then you will understand why millions of uneducated and gullible people believed the outright lies and manufactured myths like the Da Vince Code, Jesus Papers and other garbage written by pea brains Dan Brown and Michael Baigent. And promoted by their money-hungry Hollywood lapdogs Ron Howard and Tom Hanks!                                                                   THESE ARE PERILOUS DAYS! Many of the people inhabiting this planet are very wicked. Antichrist forces are at work everywhere trying to remove faith in God’s Word from the minds and hearts of people.

   Satan’s goal is to bring God down to an unreal and superstitious figure, thus relegating His Word to the category of myths and fairy tales of folklore!

     These sinister, dark and unholy powers are at work today through the brain washing technique of political correctness, sarcasm, bigotry and hatred of Evangelical Christianity!  
      They are using academia, religious cults, apostate churches, governments, print and broadcasting media – to infiltrate, brainwash, ridicule and destroy faith in God, the Holy Bible and eternal salvation through the vicarious, all - atoning death of Jesus Christ on the cross and His glorious resurrection from the dead! 
              SATAN WORKS WHILE CHRISTIANS SLEEP!

    The sad truth is that while Christians are sleeping, Satan is desperately working to deceive, enslave and empower lustful, proud and spiritually empty individuals to do his unholy dirty work!

     While Christians sleep, Satan works furiously through his emissaries, henchmen and cohorts! He is never idle and works untiringly since he has a cadre of flunkies – some unwittingly and others willingly - doing his bidding.

    Using the New Age Movement and apostate theologians with connections to reputable Seminaries and Bible Colleges, ‘the Cosmic Liar’ has manipulated a cacophony of organized Church bodies and recognized clergymen to be his errand boys.

     By employing well-known personalities like actors John Travolta and Tom Cruise into promoting the erratic, deceptive and slavish cult of Scientology and television personalities like Oprah Winfrey to become purveyors of the antichrist teachings of the New Age Movement, he is deceiving millions!

      And a number of compromising, lust-filled theologians have joined with the Evil One to wallow in the murky waters of so-called higher criticism of the Holy Scriptures, causing doubt by their irreverent and confusing babbaling!

     May God have mercy on the congregations where these modern day ‘Judas and Quisling’ copycats are employing their parasitic actions!

     And may all Christians awaken to the danger posed by this dangerous ‘fifth column’ in our midst and that such apostates be exposed and driven from their lofty and lucrative positions!

      The HOLY BIBLE emphasizes: “Even as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.

   “Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities.

   “These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about without winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;

   “Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness forever.

   “And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold the Lord cometh with ten thousand of His saints.

   “To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him.” (Jude 7-13)

       ST. PETER warns of the judgment that those who trifle with God’s Word will receive: 

   “But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. 

   "And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the Way of Truth shall be evil spoken of.

    “The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptation, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished: But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, self-willed, they are not afraid to speak of dignities.

    “And they shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots are they and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you.

   “Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls; an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children.” (2 Peter 2:1,2,9,1013,14)

PAUL DIDN'T

PULL ANY PUNCHES!

     St. Paul didn’t play pussycat with those who sought to pervert the right ways of God. He played hardball with them! Here are some of his correctional words:

     “O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you.

   “… Are ye so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made made perfect by the flesh?

   “He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?” (Gal.3: 1-4)

     ELYMAS the sorcerer tried to turn the deputy of Paphos, Sergius Paulus from the faith..

      The Apostle brought God’s judgment upon him: “O full of all subtlety and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord?” (Acts 13: 6-12)

     Immediately, he was stricken with blindness and the deputy believed the Gospel. Hallelujah! 

     The Bible says of itself: “For the Word of God is quick (alive) and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul (mind) and spirit, and of the joints and the marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and the intents of the heart.” (Heb. 4: 12)

WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?

      We do not sit in judgment of the Word of God. We must conform to its laws, counsel and admonition. We dare not judge God’s Word. It judges us!!!

     The Word of God ministers to every area of our lives: spirit, soul (mind) and body! It brings the life of Jesus into our inner man, peace to our minds and divine healing to our bodies!

      “And the very God of Peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the Coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.” (1 Th. 5: 23) 

    I believe all of God’s Word and will settle for nothing less. And that settles that! Amen.

     EARNEST & MARY MOUNTAIN celebrated the 43^th anniversary of their conversion to Jesus Christ on December 8, 2013. Forty three years earlier Earnest and Mary were on the verge of dissolving their common-law relationship, which included four little children. Earnest was a hard worker and owned a new automobile but was unable to drive, because his impaired driving conviction had robbed him of his driver’s license. Their drinking and arguing was destroying them.

     Earnest had seen the big cross with the words JESUS SAVES on the Edmonton Revival Centre on 149^th Street and Stony Plain Road and was drawn toward it. At ten o’clock Wednesday morning, December 8, 1970, he told Mary that he was going to walk the ten blocks to see the preacher. Immediately, she got her coat and went with him.

     They were gloriously converted that morning and have walked with Jesus ever since. God has prospered them in business and all their children are well educated and are serving the Lord!    

     Allan and Mary Thew – Mary Mountain’s aunt and uncle - were also gloriously converted. Allan had been a bartender for 40 years and their conversion made a real ripple effect with many others receiving Christ as Lord and Saviour! What a wedding we had with four little children as witnesses and a host of friends attending!

RENE WOUDSTRA testifies about the great miracle Jesus Christ gave him in 1970 at the Edmonton Revival Centre. For 5 years Rene had been seeing a psychiatrist once a week for his nerves. He was born in Holland and the war had affected him greatly. As he grew, his fears became unbearable.

     After 5 years of psychiatric help, he was not getting better. For three months he had sat in the front room staring out the front window, as if in a stupor. An old neighbor from his Dutch Church excitedly told them about being healed from deafness at the Edmonton Revival centre (later Faith Cathedral) and that RENE should attend.  

     Upon hearing these words Rene came alive and said that he wanted to go. He was instantly healed and has been well ever since. Rene worked as a horticulturist at the University of Alberta for many years until retirement. Rene and Hene have been featured in the Edmonton Journal a number of times as having the most beautiful lawn and garden in Edmonton. Glory to God forever!

    WAYNE PRATT was a hard working, hard drinking man who had gotten caught up in the awful web of sin with continual carousing and partying. With a beautiful wife and little children at home, Wayne would spent countless week-ends not remembering where he had been and who he had drunk with and fought with. He would often wake up in a hotel room with a woman he did not recognize.

    One Sunday morning in a Hotel room he turned on the TV and saw Pastor Max Solbrekken preaching the Gospel of Christ. His text was taken from Romans 7: 14 - 25 which perfectly described his life.

     He testifies: “I hated what I was doing but was powerless to change. I saw that in my own strength I was a slave to the lusts of the flesh, the world and the devil. I was a sinner by birth, by nature and by my selfish will.   

     “Pastor Max showed me how I could be free by the cleansing and healing power of Jesus Christ’s blood that was shed for me on Calvary’s cross! Suddenly, the truth rushed into my mind and my spirit and Jesus Christ came into my life. The Bible says: “Ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free.” (John 10: 10). That is how it all started and His grace has continued with me until today. I thank God for His great mercy and love toward me!”

      JOHN OKEMOW was born a stutterer, but Jesus healed him through the Ministry of a Mennonite Preacher when he was 8 years of age. His goal was to become a pilot, a policeman and a preacher. He has done all that. Due to some circumstances he fell into sin and for about 12 years was away from God.

      In a Max Solbrekken Crusade service in Peerless Lake, Alberta John Okemow – the policeman - surrendered to God and several years later entered the Ministry. Today, he is a powerful man of God who preaches to the Native Indians and Inuit in Northern Canada with great success! He is also the Founder and Senior Pastor of the growing Church of All Nations in High Prairie, Alberta Canada.

    Never in the history of Malta has so great a spiritual victory been won, as during Brother Solbrekken’s Crusade here. The devil launched all his forces to prevent God’s Kingdom from marching forward, but in the name of Jesus, his power was broken and he had to back off. 

     The first Full Gospel Crusade since the days of St. Paul became a reality and a glorious victory for the persecuted Evangelicals.  Souls were saved and miracles of divine healing took place as Rev. Max Solbrekken brought forth the message of the Gospel under God’s anointing, and as he reached out to the Lord for the needs of the people in compassion and prayer!

    For hundreds of years, Malta has been bound by a primitive form of Roman Catholicism mixed with mysticism and superstition.  They have been told repeatedly that all non-Catholics were trying to lead them astray and wanted only to split and confuse the Roman Catholic Church. 

    Little did they know that our main intentions were to bring them back to First Century Christianity, to signs, wonders and miracles with simple faith in Jesus as Saviour and Lord!

A NEW ERA HAS NOW STARTED IN MALTA!

      A new era has now started in Malta, as God is beginning to show the people that He is the same today as when Paul first came to this island.  Miracles began happening right from the very beginning, even before the Crusade started.  Every time the devil attacked, he was overcome by the mighty hand of God! 

    When the Police Department withheld permission to hold the Crusade - till the last moment - God opened the way for Brother Solbrekken to meet the Senior Superintendent of Police personally and God’s Servant won favour with him. Superintendent E. Tonna asked for Rev. Solbrekken’s prayers and he also promised all possible help in the future.  Since the Crusade, Mr .Enoch Tonna has been elevated to the most respected position of Commissioner of Police, (the highest position in the Malta Police Force).

        When we tried to advertise the Crusade in the leading newspapers, we were denied that right and one paper attacked us in no uncertain terms.  But, God prompted a Maltese journalist to publicly defend us. This was the first time that the Full Gospel Evangelicals received public support in the newspapers. Since the Crusade, our weekly church services have been advertised with no charge in the church columns of a paper which denied us advertising for the Crusade!

    The Roman Catholic priests warned against the Crusade from their pulpits. Roman Catholic professors arrange a ‘Bible Week’ on television each evening of the Crusade to prevent people from coming!

 The situation seemed hopeless, but God sent His servant Max Solbrekken to the Archbishop of the Roman Catholic Church, His Grace Monsignor Michael Gunzi, for a personal audience, which resulted in His Grace, the Archbishop, wishing Rev. Solbrekken all the best success in his mission of preaching Jesus Christ to the people of Malta!

    

    Later, a prominent priest (Monsignor of the large Cathedral in Valletta) after meeting us on a busy market street (city square), asked Brother Solbrekken for his prayers, saying: “I feel sick in both body and soul”. One of the professors who had organized his own ‘Bible Week’ in opposition to us, later received Brother Solbrekken and myself in his office at the University of Malta, where we had a great time of fellowship. God’s servant was invited into a class to pray for the students.

    Now, the doors are WIDE OPEN in Malta for a massive Crusade. This is the time for persistent penetration of this island with the glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ. Therefore, I extend on behalf of all the Christians of Malta an invitation to Brother Solbrekken to return to Malta as soon as possible for another crusade this year!

‘JESUS THE CRUCIFIED ONE’ IS ALIVE!

    I wish to pass on many thanks and much gratefulness to my good friend, Brother Max, for coming to Malta and to the many Canadian Christians for sending him! I am praying that God will lay it on your hearts to support this Ministry, so that Max Solbrekken may be able to return for Phase 11 of the Malta Outreach! We are waiting with great anticipation for the new book, ‘What Is the Gospel?’ which we will be distributing to thousands of people in this country! Jesus is alive, and now is the time to let Malta know it!

Since that time, about 10 Evangelical Churches or more have been established in Malta, and unfortunately even a Muslim Mosque and some other cults!  But, praise God that the gospel is now preached freely in Malta, due to our 1973 breakthrough! Imagine, the first time within the last 1,000 years and possibly since the early church!
