FAITH IN CHRIST'S BLOOD:

KEY TO HEALTHY LIVING

     "Being JUSTIFIED freely by His GRACE through the REDEMPTION that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a PROPITIATION through FAITH in His BLOOD, to declare His RIGHTEOUSNESS for the REMISSION of sins that are past, through the FOREBEARANCE of God." (Rom. 3:24, 25)

      This Scripture Text is so rich in truth and so magnanimous in scope and wide ranging in jurisdiction that it encompasses the entire spiritual world of believing men and women from the beginning of time and reaches into eternity!

   The word Justified means getting straightened out in our thinking and in our relationship with God. It means being made just in the sight of God. Grace speaks of the unmerited favour we have been given from God without having to earn it or pay for it.

   Redemption is the work of God through Christ whereby lost sinners have been freed from the penalty of God's Law through the Sacrifice of Himself; the meritorious and efficacious death of His Son Jesus Christ, thereby meeting the Demands of Divine Justice.
  The word Propitiation means satisfaction, covering and expiation. It means that Jesus Christ's death for us, satisfied the wrath of God against the human race because of Adam's tragic fall and high treason against his Maker and the sins that followed his posterity, even until today!

     Faith is placing total trust in God's Word until it dictates our 
lives in such a righteous manner that we know Him intimately and
pattern our lives after His Son Jesus Christ; and are able to call 
Him Father. It is taking His Word above all competing voices with 
their hollow, pretentious and humanistic ideologies, theosophy and
worthless platitudes!

           GOD IS INCOMPREHENSIBLE!

     Can anyone understand God's Righteousness? Certainly not! We know that righteousness when it refers to us, means a right standing in God's eyes as He sees us through the sinless, pure and perfect shed blood of Jesus Christ. 
     When it refers to His Righteousness, so Holy, Pure, Perfect, Just and Good is He, that all we can do is fall down before Him and like the seraphim cry, “Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord of Hosts.” (Isa. 6: 3)

     The word Remission means forgiveness and only through the
shed blood of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ have we received 
forgiveness for our many sins. The Word of God states: “If we walk in the Light as He is in the Light, we have fellowship one with another and the Blood of Jesus Christ God's Son cleanseth us from all sins.” (1 John 1: 7)

     The word Forebearance means patience, tolerance. As touching the Law it has this meaning: 'the action of refraining from exercising a legal right, especially enforcing the payment of a debt.'  The hymn writer penned these words: 'I should have been crucified. I should have suffered and died. I should have hung on the cross in shame and disgrace, but Jesus God's Son took my place.'

     The Bible states: For when we were yet without strength (hopeless), in due time Christ died for the ungodly. But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by His BLOOD, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.” (Rom.5: 6,8,9)

      The BLOOD of Jesus Christ that was shed for the sins of the world - past, present and future - on Calvary's Cross nearly 2,000 years ago will NOT benefit us, unless we have faith in His BLOOD!

     Faith in the blood of Jesus Christ opens the door of Heaven to us by bringing instant forgiveness for our sins, purity of heart and a freedom from guilt, condemnation and shame!

      Faith in the shed BLOOD of Jesus Christ God's Pascal Lamb, breaks the bonds of Sin, opens the Prison doors and liberates the captives held by Satan.

     Faith in the blood of Jesus Christ causes the Devil to flee in terror, destroys the shackles of servitude, opens the heart to sing, rejoice and receive the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with power.

    Faith in the BLOOD of Jesus destroys evil habits of lust, greed and pride. It breaks the bondage of lying, stealing, gambling, fornicating and carousing! It liberates the spirit from guilt and fear of the past, present and future. It prepares the spirit for fellowship with God and an abundant entrance into the our eternal Home!
         FAITH IN  JESUS' BLOOD BRINGS FREEDOM!

     Faith in the BLOOD of Jesus gives us freedom from rejection and purges our conscience from the lingering bondage of condemnation. It brings joy, peace and rejoicing to the heart and boundless praise to our Creator and Saviour!

     Faith in the BLOOD of Jesus protects us from moral failure, spiritual bankruptcy and evil spirits of depression. It guards our thought life, helps us to have a healthy lifestyle, and wards of a host of diseases as we claim the merits of His precious blood in Christ's holy name!

     Faith in the BLOOD of Jesus gives us authority over all manner of evil and unclean spirits, and the power of God to cast them out of those who are bound, fettered and chained by them! It ensures that whoever calls upon the name of Jesus Christ in faith will be free from the Enemy of their souls!

     Faith in the BLOOD of Jesus brings Peace in the time of turmoil, Assurance in time of doubts and fears, Joy in the time of sorrow, Victory in the time of battle and Freedom from all the onslaughts of the Evil One.

      In the final analysis, there is no human, psychological or spiritual need that the precious BLOOD of our crucified, risen and glorified Jesus Christ cannot or will not meet and remedy, in accordance with His Eternal Living Word! Amen.

                  HOW THE ARGENTINA 
                      REVIVAL STARTED

Max Solbrekken & Omar Cabrera reach Cordova, Argentina

 In the summer of 1977, I received a call from Demos Shakarian's son Richard, enquiring if we would invite Omar and Marfa Cabrera to Edmonton for some Gospel Meetings. 
    I asked, "Who is Omar Cabrera?" Richard stated that Omar Cabrera  had been ordered by the Military Junta to leave Argentina, because his name had been found on a 'Rebel Hit List'. He was living in the USA and doing some book translations for a Ministry.
  He stated that Omar Cabrera had written a book titled, 'Guns, guts and God in Latin America'. The Roman Catholic Church opposed him, as did the Military Junta, the Medical Profession and the Evangelical Church. And because he wore the clerical collar, even the Pentecostal Church was critical of him!
  I said: "The Bible states to beware when all men speak well of you, and there must be something special about a man who against all odds wouldn't leave his post until forced to do so. I will be pleased to have such a man."
 My background in the Lutheran Church and admiration for the Father of the Protestant Reformation, Martin Luther, immediately made me want to meet this fearless Argentinian Crusader!
            OMAR & MARFA COME TO CANADA!
  Donna and I warmly welcomed Omar and Marfa and we had great fellowship. Omar said: "Brother Max, I want to go to Ascunsion, Paraquay. We will rent the large stadium there and  have a Crusade. It will cost $10,000, and you will pay for it. We will reach many people and we will build a large church seating ten thousand. It will cost $100,000 and you will pay for it!"
  I said: "Omar, We will start with the crusade." Omar began making arrangements for the crusade, but was repeatedly unable to get the stadium for the dates we put forth. There was always a block; nothing was working in our favour. 
  In the spring of 1978 I had just returned from crusades in Ghana, Africa, and people were beginning to ask about our proposed Paraguay Crusade.
  I called Omar to share my concerns. I said," Omar, I believe we should have the crusade in Argentina!" He was adamant, declaring that he would not ever go back to Argentina. Several times I stressed that I felt God wanted us to hold the crusade in Argentina, against all odds!  Finally, he relented saying: "OK, we will try Cordova."
      MANY THOUSANDS SAVED & HEALED!
    He was able to rent the Rocco Football Field for May 6-15, 1978. It was a miracle of God. The Chief of Police left town, being afraid to sign the permit. 
  The Crusade began with 6,000 people and miracles began at once. The Roman Catholic Church lost control of the people as nuns and priests rejoiced openly and praised God! The crowd grew to 10,000 almost immediately. The Police Chief returned and signed the permit.
  I said to Omar: "I would like to speak to the four Colonials of the  Military Junta which rules the Cordova District." 
   They invited us to meet with them. After bringing them greetings from Canada, I laid out God's Salvation Plan. For about fifteen minutes I peached the Gospel with great anointing. I spoke about God and the Devil, Sin and Salvation, Christ and His shed blood, Heaven and Hell and Judgement!
  Suddenly, the leading Colonial cried out: "What do you want from us?" I answered: "Stop Persecuting the Evangelicals. Stop Persecuting the Pentecostals!" He answered: "Okay! What else do you want?" I said: "Get down on your knees and give your hearts to the Lord." They looked shocked.
     Omar let out a great big laugh and I smiled. They relaxed. Then, I said: "I would like to pray for you and your families." He said: "We have been hearing good things about your crusade. At first we though you were Jehovah Witnesses but realize that you are a blessing from God." Reverently, they bowed their heads as I prayed for them, their families and their nation!
      THE OFFICIAL PERSECUTION STOPPED!
  From that moment forward the official persecution stopped. That was the turning point for Argentina! There were no crusades being held there because of the Military Rule, but God opened the door for Omar Cabrera and me to reach Cordova for Christ. 

   Great Miracles happened every night and the crowd grew to 48,000 on May 15, 1978. During the final service, Omar announced that we would be back there in two weeks for another Crusade, which drew 17,000. 
  A well known business lady who owned a kiosk was instantly healed in our crusade. She put her crutches and wheel chair on display. Three thousand (3,000) people who knew her crippled condition, attended Omar's crusade.     
   His Cordova Church grew to 8,000 in 9 months and within 18 months he had 150 churches with 450 pastors across Argentina! 

     Then, Carlos Anacandia got saved and began to preach and the rest is history as he and others have reached several millions for Jesus. 

  That is how the official persecution stopped and how the REVIVAL started in Argentina in May, 1978. Praise the Lord!

JESUS CHRIST  ALONE IS GOD THE SON:
NO ROOM FOR PRETENDERS LIKE ZUESS, VISHNU,

 ALLAH, BUDDHA, KRISHNA, GIA, THOR AND SHIVA!

    "But to us - CHRISTIANS - there is but one God, the Father, of Whom are all things, and we in Him: and one Lord Jesus Christ, by Whom are all things, and we by Him." (1 Cor.8:6)

     Saul of Tarsus met Jesus Christ on the Damascus Road on His way to kidnap followers of Jesus of Nazareth and bring them back to Jerusalem in chains, to be interrogated, scourged and killed if they would not recant their belief in Yeshua Ha Mashiach!

     Nearing Damascus with his team of kidnappers, Saul was thrown to the ground by the appearance of Jesus the Risen Saviour, leaving him blinded and soundly shaken, with the voice of our Lord ringing in his ears! (Acts 9:1-20)

     He was gloriously converted and filled the Holy Spirit and called by Jesus Christ to carry His Gospel to the Gentile world! For about thirty years St. Paul preached the Gospel of Christ and founded churches across Asia Minor and Europe. He was persecuted, imprisoned, scourged, stoned and martyred for the sake of the gospel which he loved.

ST. PAUL: APOSTLE, PASTOR

EVANGELIST, CHURCH BUILDER!

    St. Paul was tutored personally by our Saviour in Arabia, and even taken to Heaven to witness things that he was not allowed to reveal. No one suffered as much for Jesus Christ and His Church as the previous Jewish Enforcer! And no-one was given as much theological knowledge as was Paul, 'the little one'!

     It is little wonder that St. Paul, who founded the Church among the Gentiles, would sound the alarm about the identity of the True God. He was the man who corrected St. Peter, one of three leading elders in the church in Jerusalem, because of his partiality in Antioch!

     "For He that wrought effectually in Peter to the apostleship of the circumcision (Jews) , the same was mighty in me toward the Gentiles. And when JAMES, CEPHAS and JOHN, who seemed to be PILLARS perceived the grace that was given unto me, they gave me and Barnabas the right hands of fellowship; that we should go to the heathen, and they unto the circumcision.

     "But when PETER was come to Antioch, I withstood him to the face, because he was to be blamed." (Gal.2: 8-14). St. Peter was a great Evangelist and St. James was the leading Pastor of the Church in Jerusalem, but St. Paul laid the foundation of Christ's Church among the Gentiles, built upon the Rock Christ Jesus, the Church's one FOUNDATION and Chief Cornerstone! (Isa.28:16; Psa.118:22; 1 Peter 2: 5-7; Acts 4: 22; Eph.2:20)

     St. Paul said: "According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise Master Builder, I have laid the FOUNDATION, and another builds thereon. But let every man take heed how he builds thereon. For other FOUNDATION can no man lay than that is laid, which is JESUS CHRIST.

     "Now if any man build upon this FOUNDATION gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble: Every man's work shall be made manifest .... Know ye not that YE ARE THE TEMPLE OF GOD, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?" (1 Cor.3: 9-16)

    St. Paul states: "For this is good and acceptable in the sight of GOD our SAVIOUR; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the TRUTH. For there is ONE GOD, and ONE MEDIATOR between God and man CHRIST JESUS, Who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time." (1 Tim.3: 3-6)

      St. Peter declared: "Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of JESUS CHRIST OF NAZARETH, Whom ye crucified, Whom God raised from the dead, even by Him doth this man stand here before you whole. This is the STONE which was set at naught by you builders, which is become the Head of the Corner.

"Neither is there SALVATION in any other: for there is none other name under Heaven given among men, whereby we must be SAVED, than the name of Jesus." (Acts 4: 10-12)

                                             THERE IS BUT ONE GOD: 
                                        FATHER, SON & HOLY SPIRIT!
    St. Paul stated: "But to us - CHRISTIANS - there is but one God, the Father, of Whom are all things, and we in Him: and one Lord Jesus Christ, by Whom are all things, and we by Him." (1 Cor. 8:6)

    There is NO ROOM for pretenders and imitators like Allah, Shiva, Gia, Buddha, Thor, Vishnu and Confucius. Here is the bottom Line.

    Speaking to the Samaritan woman, Jesus said: "Woman, believe Me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem , worship the Father. Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for Salvation is of the Jews." (John 4: 21,22)

    Our Lord said something very important. Salvation is not of the Arabs or the Norwegians or the British or the Indians or the Africans or the North Americans! Jesus Christ said, "SALVATION IS OF THE JEWS."

     The Jewish Race are God's Chosen people and Jesus was born of a Jewish Virgin, whose name was Miriam. Jesus Christ is TRUE God from Eternity and TRUE Man, born of the Virgin woman.

     Then, Jesus said something else that was also very important: "But the hour cometh , and now is, when the TRUE WORSHIPPERS shall worship the Father In spirit and in truth: for He  seeks such to worship Him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth." (John 4: 23, 24)

    Here, Jesus spoke of three groups of worshippers: The First group are like the Samaritans who did not know what they worshipped. The Second group were the Jews who had the Word of God and they did worship God. Jesus said that the Third group, however, were still to come.

     After His death and resurrection Jesus would ascend to Heaven and pour our the Gift of the Holy Spirit upon His Church! This would be the group that would be most acceptable to God. They would worship God in Spirit and in Truth! (John 7: 37- 39). 
      The TRUE WORSHIPPERS are they who have repented of their sins and bowed  their hearts to God the Father, and received his Only begotten Son Jesus Christ - Who came to earth as God's Paschal Lamb to REDEEM mankind by the Sacrifice of Himself - as their personal Lord and Saviour and are filled with His blessed Holy Spirit. Amen.

On Dec 10, 2014, while taking our dog out, I fell on ice in our driveway. I do not remember falling, getting back into the house, or phoning my daughter.

She found me sitting in the living room. Phone in one hand and dog on leash in the other. She put me in her car and drove me to emergency.  The only thing I remember is when we were just about at the hospital. A cat scan revealed concussion with blood pooled on my brain. I was kept in the hospital over night and released the next evening.

I could not see to read. Did not drive for over a month. It was terrible not to be able to pull things out of my brain. I hurt all over, but the worst was not having control of my brain.

My husband Stan took me to HOUSE of PRAYER on Jan 18, 2015. Pastor Max prayed for me to be healed and be made whole. Immediately my head cleared and so did my vision. I believe my heart was healed at the same time. Praise God.

My doctor Dr. Itwa, who is a Christian, says it was a miracle. I know it was and I give God all the glory.

DIVINE HEALING:
FOR SPIRIT, SOUL & BODY

       The Greek word SOZO means to 'protect, deliver, heal, preserve, save and make well.'  In reality it means the 'Salvation of God'.  Seven hundred years before Jesus' birth in Bethlehem, the Prophet Isaiah declared, "Therefore the Lord Himself shall give you a sign, Behold a VIRGIN shall conceive, and bear a Son, and shall call His name Emmanuel." (Isaiah 7:14)
     The Angel Gabriel appeared to Joseph saying, "....Fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.  And she shall bring forth a Son, and thou shalt call His name JESUS for He shall save His people from their sins."
      "Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet saying, Behold a 'virgin' shall be with child, and shalt bring forth a Son, and they shall call His name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, GOD WITH US."  (Matthew 1:20-23)
     The name 'Jesus' in Hebrew is 'Yeshua' which means 'the Salvation of God'.  God's salvation for mankind is 'forgiveness, healing, protection, wellness and deliverance' from the power of the Devil and His evil work.
    The name of 'JESUS' means: 'Saviour, the salvation of God; the God who saves, heals, protects, delivers and makes well."
     Everywhere our Lord went, He preached the Gospel and confirmed His message by healing the sick and casting out evil spirits from those who were bound: "For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil." (1 John 3:8)
     The Bible states: "How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and power who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed of the devil, for God was with Him." (Acts 10:38)
    "...Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by Him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know." (Acts 2:22)
      "How shall we escape if we neglect so great salvation, which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him; God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to His own will." (Hebrews 2:3,4)
     GOD'S WORD says: "Is any sick among you?  Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall 'SAVE' the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him." (James 5:14,15)
      The word SOZO used here means to heal the sick and make them well, is used interchangeably for forgiveness and healing for body or soul in the following Scriptures:  Mark 5:23, Mark 5:34, Mark 6:56, Mark 16:16, Luke 8:36, Luke 17:19, Luke 18:42, Acts 2:21, Acts 14:9, Acts 4:12 and Ephesians 2:8.
     THE HOLY RECORD states: "Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; Who healeth all thy diseases." (Psalms 103:2,3); "He was wounded for our transgressions.  He was bruised for our iniquities, the chastisement of our peace was upon Him and with his stripes we are healed." (Isaiah 53:4,5)
     "And when the even was come, they brought unto Him (JESUS) many that were possessed with devils; and He cast out the spirits with His Word, and healed all that were sick: That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, "Himself took our infirmities and bare our sicknesses." (Matthew 8:16,17); 
      "Who His own self bare our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness,by Whose stripes ye were healed." (1 Peter 2:24)
     The BIBLE says, "He hath sent His Word and healed them and delivered them from their destructions." (Psalms 107:20); "He brought them forth with silver and with gold' and there was not one feeble person among their tribes." (Psalms 105:37)
     "I am the Lord, the God of all flesh.  Is there anything to hard for Me?" (Jeremiah 32:27); "And ye shall serve the Lord your God, and He shall bless thy bread and thy water, and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee." (Exodus 23:24,25)
                     GOD'S HEALING COVENANT WITH ISRAEL
    In His great love and concern for His people, Israel, Almighty God made a 'Healing covenant with Moses' on their behalf.  Here it is:
     "If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God and wilt do that which is right in His sight, and wilt give ear to His commandments, and keep all His statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians, for I am the Lord that healeth thee." (Exodus 15:26)
     The ten plagues which Jehovah the Covenant God of Israel released upon the Egyptians that finally forced Pharaoh to allow the Hebrew slaves leave their bondage did not adversely affect God's people.
     The promise of divine healing and health was reserved for the Hebrews and by extension to all who trust in Christ our Great physician Who fulfilled all the types of the coming Messiah.
    "He brought them forth also with silver and gold: and there was not one feeble person among their tribes." (Psalms 105:37) "Then they cried unto the lord God in their trouble, and He saveth them out of their distresses.  He sent His Word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions." (Psalms 107:20)
     "God is a very present help in time of trouble." (Psalms 46:1); "The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear?  The Lord is the strength of my life: of whom shall I be afraid?" (Psalms 27:1)
     "No good thing will God withhold from them who walk uprightly." (Psalms 84:11); "There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh unto thy dwelling." (Psalms 91:10); "Delight thyself in the Lord, and He shall give thee the desires of thine heart." (Psalms 37:4); "Unto you that fear My name shall the Son of righteousness arise with healing in His wings." (Malachi 4:2)
    "No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee shalt thou condemn.  This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of Me sayeth the Lord." (Isaiah 54:17)
     Divine Healing is promised for those who fast and pray and seek the Lord: "Is not the fast that I have chosen? To lose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?"
     "Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house?  When thou seest the naked, that thou cover him, and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh?
    "Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thy health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee, the glory of the Lord shall be thy rear guard.  Then shalt thou call and the Lord shall answer: thou shall cry, and He shall say, Here am I..." (Isaiah 58:6-8)
                                THIS IS THE REASON JESUS CAME
     "For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the enemy." (1 John 3:8); "The thief (Satan) cometh not but for to steal, kill and destroy.  I am come that you might have life and more abundantly." (John 10:10)
      "Now unto Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us." (Ephesians 3:20); "And He said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the Gospel unto every creature.  He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned."
     "And these signs shall follow them that believe; In My name shall they cast out devils...they shall lay their hands on the sick, and they shall recover." (Mark 16:15-20)
     Jesus said: "Come unto Me all ye who labour and are heavy laden and I will give you rest." (Matthew 11:28); "All that the Father giveth Me shall come to Me; and him that cometh to Me I will in no wise cast out." (John 6:37)
     He invites us to fellowship with Him through prayer, praise and meditation.  He said, "Ask and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.  For everyone that asketh receiveth; he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened." (Matthew 7:7,8)
   Then He shared this great analogy: "And what man is there of you, whom if his son asks bread, will he give him a stone?"  Something useless! "Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?"  Something dangerous!
     "If ye then, being evil, know to give god gifts unto your children, HOW MUCH MORE shall your Father in Heaven give good things to them that ask Him? (Matthew 7:9-11)  He stated: "I will never leave thee nor forsake thee.  I will be with thee unto the end of the world." (Matthew 28:20; Hebrews 13:5)
     In this PROMISE our precious Lord Jesus used a 'double imperative' to drive home a very important truth.  He actually said: I will never, NO NEVER leave thee.  I will never, NO NEVER forsake thee, I will be with thee until the end of the world.
                                     THIS IS THE MOST TOUCHING!
     Of all the promises our Lord gave us, I think this is the most touching.  Jesus was so concerned that we know the truth of His presence and nearness to us at all times!
    "The promises of God in Christ Jesus is Yea and Amen." The Bible states: "If God be FOR US, who then can be against us?" (Romans 8:31) "Greater is He that in IN US that he that is in the world." (1 John 4:4)  His promises are 'YES'...and not NO.
     "God hath delivered us from the power of DARKNESS, and hath translated us into the Kingdom of His dear Son, in Whom we have REDEMPTION through HIS BLOOD." (Colossians 1:13, 14)
     When Satan's power was defeated in our lives and we were translated into Christ's KINGDOM, Satan's power to harass us was finished.  We can tell him to remove his sickness and disease from us for we are God's PROPERTY.
    We have been purchased by His blood: "Ye are BOUGHT WITH A PRICE: therefore glorify God in your BODY, and in your SPIRIT, which are GOD'S." (2 Corinthians 6:20)
    My Friend: In the NAME of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, and upon the authority of God's Word and by the BLOOD of the everlasting covenant, I command the pain to LEAVE YOUR BODY and the power of Satan to be broken off your entire being.
      We can legally say: "SATAN: IT'S OVER!  YOU HAVE LOST and WE HAVE WON through JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD!  Amen.

THE WORD OF GOD has power to free you from bondage, sin, fear and sickness.  The Bible says, "He hath sent His Word and healed them, and delivered them from all their destructions."  (Psalms 107:20)

THE HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD baptizes us into the Body of Christ at conversion and as we totally surrender to God, He fills us with His presence (1 Corinthians 12:13).  The Bible says: "And be not drunk with wine, wherein in excess; but be filled with the Spirit; (Ephesians 5:18, 19)

THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST is the greatest weapon to drive Satan away from us.  Jesus said: "Go ye into all the world and preach the Gospel unto every creature, He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved.  He that believeth not shall be damned.  And these signs shall follow them that believe.  In My Name, shall they cast out devils..." (Mark 16:15-20) Luke 10:17-20)

On Sunday April 12, 2015, I had the privilege of again meeting Lanny Hagen 48 years after we first met at Radio CFCW.  In 1966 we were still living in White Rock, British Columbia. I had returned from 3 1/2 months across the Philippines and India, and was preaching in Alberta. I was producing radio programs at  CFCW  when I met Lanny Hagen and had the privilege of praying for him in Jesus' precious name! - Pastor Max Solbrekken

This is my testimonial:

In the summer of 1966 I was diagnosed as having a kidney in need of a major operation. This was at the University of Alberta Hospital. The attending Doctor initially spoke of a transplant in my case but after several tests concluded that the kidney could be saved. This would involve removing the kidney, bisecting it and then restoring its function by means of which escape me. A date was set for the surgery in the spring of 1967.

At the time I was working at CFCW in Camrose Alberta and one of my duties involved recording Pastor Max Sobrekkens’ Radio program. After one session in the late fall or early winter I mentioned my dilemma to Pastor Max. He immediately laid hands on me and prayed in Jesus name for a healing. I remember praying along with Max when his program was being aired but in all honesty I was not a believer.

In the spring of 1967 I checked into the Hospital and more tests were ordered before surgery. The results of the tests showed the kidney to be operating at a level above normal, so much so that the good doctor cancelled the surgery and could not explain the change in the appearance or the function of the kidney. I don’t remember the doctors words but I remember his puzzled surprise. I too was taken by surprise. It’s been 48 years, and a kidney that gave me problems for years hasn’t given me a problem in any way since. Praise the Lord. Thank you Max, for believing when I did not.

AS LIFE SQUEEZES US:

HOW TO HANDLE PRESSURE!

    “These things have I spoken unto you, that in Me ye might have PEACE. In the world ye shall have TRIBULATION: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” (John 16: 33)
    Jesus is the Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9: 6). He said: “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” (John 14: 27)

    Our Lord stated: “Blessed are ye when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of Man's sake. Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in Heaven: for in like manner did their fathers unto the prophets.” (Luke 6:22,23)

     St. Paul wrote about the horrific persecution he endured for the Gospel's sake: “For we would not, brethren, have you ignorant of our trouble which came to us in Asia, that we were pressed out of measure, above strength, insomuch that we despaired even of life:

“But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God that raiseth the dead. Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver, in Whom we trust that He will yet deliver us.” (2 Cor.1: 8-10)

    “We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not destroyed; Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body. For we which live are always delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.” (2 Cor.4: 8-11)

              WE MUST PUT OUR TRUST IN JESUS!

     As life squeezes us, and it certainly does squeeze us all at times, it is imperative that we who are believers in Jesus Christ, put our trust in the Blessed Holy Spirit, Who has been given to us as the Divine Helper! Jesus called the Holy Spirit the 'Paraklitos’ (Divine Helper; the One sent along to help).

    “And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of Truth; Whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth Him not neither knoweth Him; for He dwelleth with you and shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.” (John 14: 16-18)

     It is incumbent upon born-again, Spirit-filled Believers, that we face any and all problems, crises or tragedies with faith rather than doubt, with hope rather than despair, and with courage rather than fear!

     We must be role models to those who have no hope and have no faith, by modelling for them, through our vibrant and buoyant lifestyle, to bring them out of the wilderness of unbelief, worry and hopelessness!

    August Strindberg, celebrated Swedish author, made this powerful statement before his death: “Clearly said, I ascribe all my misfortune to this one fact, that I have been godless! An individual that has broken contact with God, cannot receive any blessings. All this talk about ‘being your own man and making your own happiness’ is chaff.”

                         LIFE IS OFTEN A RAT-RACE!

   As economic opportunities have opened to an expanding segment of the world’s population and with greater technological breakthroughs producing more and better consumer products, a lot of people have been sucked into the credit card debt trap, with its devastating affects on millions of families!

     Undisciplined spending and uncontrolled GREED among many entrepreneurs have brought devastation to millions of families who got caught in the reckless gambling spirit of investing in stocks and bonds, as large corporations like Worldcom, Environ, Implone and others was the answer to their utopian dreams of riches and wealth!

     Others are squeezed into a financial corner because of sickness, lay-offs, down turns in the economy and poor business transactions! The break-up of the family through separation, divorce or the death of a spouse has left countless adults and children in an economic quagmire! 
    And with that albatross hanging around their necks, countless millions are wallowing in the murky waters of despondency, bitterness and resentment!

     And as the Canadian Government, as well as other governments, have given in to the demon spirits of GREED, they have opened the hellish flood gates of gambling upon millions of unsuspecting, lazy and ignorant people who spend quality time at Video Arcades feeding the VLTs, crowd into Bingo Halls teeming with welfare Moms (their children often unattended), and Casinos – Big Time Enemy of the Family – play hosts to deceived patrons who pay homage to the 'god of Stupidity and Chance’!

   And what of the many drug-addicted, greed-driven, Satan-inspired, foul-mouthed and suicide-prone so-called 'Rock & Roll and Rap stars' who fill the stadiums and airwaves with pornographic, perverted, rebellious, anti-God music, and singing that often sounds like a pack of yelping dogs, similar to that heard on the streets of any Third World country after Midnight?

    No wonder so many of our young people get hooked on drugs, alcohol, gambling and perverted sex, after listening to such 'first-class' filth and immoral garbage! Into that awful mix, throw in a plethora of pornographic movies, nightclubs, bars, drug pushers, pimps and prostitutes, and the parasitic scum-bags who charge mafia-like-interest money lenders who live off the hand-to-mouth labourer and the foolish welfare recipient!

     My dear and precious friend, it is high time to get off that ruinous, never-ending roller coaster! Please listen to me! My heart bleeds for you and your family I want to help you!

                            CHRIST IS THE ANSWER 

                          TO THE DILEMMAS OF LIFE!

    We can show them the way out of their dilemma! Christ is the answer to the 'pressures of life' that try to squeeze the life out of us all! St. Paul was beset with many and varied problems and crises that sought to impede his advance with the Gospel as well as harm his own life! He did not grumble, complain or blame anyone, but rather through prayer, faith and fasting, overcame the enemy and obstacle which were arrayed against him!

     Here is what he wrote: “We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.” (2 Cor.4: 8-10)

    St. Paul was not 'a quitter'. He didn’t throw in the sponge. He didn't give up! Here are some of his last words: “For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have kept the faith:

   “Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love His appearing.” (2 Tim.4: 6-8)

    Life can get tough, but it is still worthwhile! Life can even be brutal, but we can make it a great adventure with large goals and rewards! Life can even squeeze us to the place where it seems impossible to go on, but that is not true. Life can and must go on and like the hymn writer stated: 'With Jesus in the vessel, we can smile at the storm."                                
                            SMILE AT THE STORM!

    And don’t forget that most situations can change very suddenly and very dramatically for many people, and this fact has been recorded down through history!

    The Bible character Job proved that to be true. In his worst moment, having lost everything except his own life, he cried out: “Though He slay me, yet will I trust in Him: but I will maintain mine own ways before Him.” (Job 13: 15)

     After Satan had finished with him, he had lost his children, his home, his wealth, his health and all of his friends except three miserable comforters who spent between six months to one year in criticizing his spirituality! Even his wife counselled him to "curse God and die.” (Job 2: 9)

                         WHAT WAS THE OUTCOME?

     “And the Lord turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before. So the Lord blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: for he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she asses.” (Job 42: 10, 12)

  Is your family squeezing you because of trouble between relatives? Are you having problems with your neighbours because of your wayward and troublesome children or theirs? Are your children or those of your relatives or friends addicted to alcohol, drugs or pornography? Are you wearing out the carpet in your home, walking back and forth in anxious night sweats and agony because of family break-ups and strife?

    Are you being persecuted because of your stand for Jesus Christ? Do they call you narrow minded? Do they cut you out of their fellowship because you believe the Full Gospel and believe in the miracles of Christ for this generation? Don’t let that bother you. Do not became anxious or filled with stress because of tribulation, peril or persecution because of your faith in Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour!

        THEY HATED JESUS: THEY WILL HATE US!

   Jesus said: “If the world hate you, ye know that it hated Me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.” (John 15: 18,19)

     Our Lord instructed His disciples: “Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man’s sake. Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets.” (Luke 6: 22-25)

    The Bible says: “How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts. These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit. But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost (in tongues - in the Spirit).

     Jesus said: “Enter ye in at the strait gate; for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.” (Matt.7: 13,14)

              PEOPLE CALL US 'NARROW - MINDED'!

  And they are right! Born-again, Spirit-filled Christians are narrow-minded, because we believe that we were created by a wise, intelligent and kind Heavenly Father, instead of by happenstance and an ignorant and unproven, unscientific and ludicrous 'monkey theory' called evolution!

     We believe that God has given us the ability and common sense to think for ourselves, rather to follow the crowd who have been brain-washed by the herd mentality of nazism, fascism, communism, secular humanism, islamism or intellectual elitism dressed up as political correctness!

     We believe that Almighty God created our first parents in His own image and likeness. Since He is triune: Father, Son and Holy Spirit, we are spirit, mind and body with an ability to choose between good and evil, right and wrong, because we were created as free moral agents!

      We believe that through the tragic fall of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, the entire world was plunged into a cesspool of rebellion, sin and destruction ending in physical death and eternal damnation!

     That, however, is not the end of the story. There is much, much more! The Gracious God of Creation is also the God of Love, Mercy, Righteousness and Order!

     The Bible records: “For God so loved the world that He gave His Only Begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him, should not perish but have everlasting life. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.” (John 3: 16,17)

                  THE DEMANDS OF DIVINE JUSTICE!

    When Jesus Christ died on Calvary’s cross for the sins of the world nearly 2000 years ago, He met the demands of Divine Justice and purchased our eternal salvation, defeating Satan, death, hell and the grave!

   The Holy Scripture declares: “For as much then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, He also Himself took part of the same; that through DEATH He might DESTROY him that had the power of death, that is, the devil: And DELIVER them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.” (Heb.2: 14,15)

     We believe that there is ONLY ONE WAY to Heaven, and that is through Jesus Christ, God’s Son, Who was begotten by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead and buried. He arose again on the third day, ascended into Heaven, poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost upon His Church on the Day of Pentecost in circa A.D 33, in Jerusalem!

     We believe that there is ONLY ONE BOOK, the Holy Bible that has been given from God to man. The Holy Record states: “We have also a more sure Word of prophecy; where unto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:

    “Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the Scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.” (2 Peter 1: 19,20)

     “But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; And that from a child thou hast known the HOLY SCRIPTURES which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through the faith which is in Christ Jesus.

   “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.” (1 Tim.3: 14-16)

    We believe that there is 'Only One Saving Name', and that name is JESUS the Christ of God! The Holy Bible is the written Word of God and Jesus Christ is the living Word of God! The Bible emphasizes: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

     “The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by Him (Jesus): and without Him was not anything made that was made. In Him was life; and the life was the light of men. That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.

    “He was in the world, and the world was made by Him and the world knew Him not. He came unto His own, and His own received him not. But as many as received Him, to them gave He the power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name:

             WHERE WILL YOU SPEND ETERNITY?

    Exciting Times are here again! When people truly begin thinking about their souls' salvation and that of their family and neighbours, the Church gets a new impetus. Now is time to open your Bible and get alone with God. He will meet your needs, my friend!
    St. Paul and Silas answered the enquiring Jailor's question: "What must I do to BE SAVED?" with this answer: "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved and thy house." (Acts 16: 30, 31) Amen.
