Hi all.

I want to share this latest of many testimonies in my life.

I have had neck problems going back to November 2016. I hoped it would just get better but it only got worse. By April 2017 I was in so much pain, sharp pain. I went to chiropractor and finally a doctor. He gave me pills, ex-rays and found my neck had pinched nerves. I was sent to a physiotherapist. Some relief but not much. It wasn't going to get better.

I started  to go to Max Solbrekken's tent meetings. One night Max prayed. He told me by the end of the tent meetings, the Lord will heal me.

He also prayed for a job for me as I had little work. I was out of work for 7 month all total.

The Lord told my wife Sylvia to tell me "desperation leads to foolishness"

Then the job offers started to come in. I waited for the job that I knew God would send.

It was difficult not to be desperate but at times I was. I had been a fool in the past with God and didn't want to be a fool again. God lined up a job I never even applied for.

I got a call from a hiring company out of Calgary. They had a job and wondered if I would go for an interview. It was with a major Oil Company.

God blessed me with an awesome job.
One I thought I would never have a chance to get.

WHOSE SIDE ARE YOU ON?

   Millions today are groping in the darkness of despair as they journey down life’s road toward eternity!

    Multitudes have not found the way of true happiness and joy and are searching for peace and an answer to life’s problems, heartaches and ills.    
Many others have known the true essence of life but somehow have gone astray, lost the way and are haphazardly adrift on the sea of life.

     The saying goes, “When in Rome do as the Romans do”, or “Follow the crowd”. The great bulk of humanity are doing just that. They are following the crowd. Take the easy way out or the path of least resistance.        The sad part is that the crowd is not always right, and the path of least resistance is often the wrong path which becomes a rut into which the journeyer finds himself bogged down. Chained by bad habits and inability to say “No” to evil suggestions and fettered by wicked companions, such a person becomes an easy mark for Satan.

     My dear friend, perhaps you are one of the restless multitudes in this rut, the broad road that the Bible speaks of which will eventually take you to doom and damnation in Hell, unless you repent of your sins and get off this road.

     The Bible says: “There is a way that seemeth right unto a man; but the end thereof are the ways of death”. (Prov. 16:25)

     It seems natural to do what others are doing, however, the natural man is often motivated by the lusts, greed and prides of this wicked world. The Carnal man is sinful and out of fellowship with the righteousness of God. Therefore, the natural man is at enmity with God.

     God's word states: “Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.” (Rom. 8:7); “Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God,” (James 4:4)

     Sinful man cannot do good unless God intervenes and changes his nature through the process of new birth: “Jesus answered and said unto him, verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” (John 3:3)

    Look around and follow the current events in the news media to realize that this world is corrupt and continually getting worse with wars, social and political upheavals, increases in the crime rate, immorality, sex perversion and broken homes.

             FOLLOWING THE CROWD: BAD IDEA!

    In other words, the CROWD is corrupt and getting worse. If you follow this crowd you will find yourself in bad company and serious trouble spiritually!

    The Bible says, “Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat. Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it”. (Matt. 7:13-14)

     Jesus urged, “Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able”. (Luke 13:24). To strive means to “put some effort” into finding the right way.

    It must be very important to enter the straight gate or Jesus would not have admonished us to STRIVE TO ENTER IN. The reason is that the wrong road leads to an eternal hell, and the right one takes you to Heaven.        The Bible says: “Wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction and many there be which go in thereat”.

     Many are on this broad road because the gate is wide enough to take in everyone, regardless of a person’s wickedness, evil habits or unrighteous companions. There is plenty of room, and no questions asked - that is of course, until it is too late to get off. The murderer travels this road together with the gambler, drunkard, liar and thief.

    It is the broad road and is easy travelling because this road has a slight downward grade, although not very noticeable at the start. The self-righteous Church member who has never been saved together with the modernistic theologian, the atheist and the communist, all have plenty of room to travel without even rubbing shoulders, because the road is so wide.

    The alcoholic, drug user, the unfaithful, deceptive wife or husband, rich and poor, well and sick, young and old, respected and despised, educated and illiterate, bond and free, all may travel.

     Caution is thrown to the winds and off you go merrily on your way - the music blares and you sail along! TRAVEL NOW - PAY LATER, SEEMS TO BE THE SLOGAN - Yes, this is the broad road to destruction. JESUS warns you to get off it NOW. Don't stay on it a minute longer. Jump off it immediately and enter the Straight Gate onto the NARROW Road that leads to LIFE and Eternal Bliss!

DO YOU KNOW WHICH ROAD YOU ARE ON?

    You may ask, “How do I know which road I am on?” I am glad you ask that question, because I have the answer for you. The Bible says, “All have sinned, and come short of the glory of God”. (Rom. 3:23) “There is none righteous, no, not one.” (Rom. 2:10) “Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me”. (Psalms 51:5)

    The Scripture tells us that through Adam’s transgression the whole human race was plunged into sin. “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.” (Rom. 5:12) Through the Scripture we see that everyone is born in sin and because of the fall, the human race inherited the stigma of sin.

    Secondly, we learn that man’s nature is sinful and he is a sinner by choice. The Bible says: “All we, like sheep, have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.”( Isaiah 53:6) ; “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?” (Jer. 17:9)

    “The fool hath said in his heart, there is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good. The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God. They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.” (Psalms 14:1-3)

    We have now established the fact that all human beings are sinners, not only by birth and nature, but also by choice. Jesus exhorts everyone to, “Enter into the strait gate”, because everyone naturally is on the broad road to start with, and must turn off to get on the right road.

    ALL A SINNER MUST DO TO GO TO HELL IS TO CONTINUE WHAT HE IS DOING, but there is a way of escape. There is a way out and salvation is available for everyone who believes and turns to the Lord. Jesus Christ came to redeem us and save us from our sins, the power of Satan and the broad road.

    Lost souls must call out to God for mercy, receive His wonderful salvation - purchased by Christ’s blood and get on the narrow road and enter the straight gate which takes us to Heaven. Jesus said: “Except a man be born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the Kingdom of God”. (John 3: 5)

    Here is your answer - All those who have not had a personal encounter with Jesus Christ, been born again by the incorruptible Word of God and by the Spirit of God and had their sins washed away by “the precious blood”, is on the broad road and lost in their sins!

NOT VERY MANY ARE GOING TO BE SAVED!

    The Bible states that because, “Wide is the gate and broad is the road”, many will go in thereat. The broad road is crowded with journeyers travelling toward their doom and destruction.

    In Matthew 7:14, the Bible declares, “Because strait is the gate and narrow is the way which leadeth unto life and few there be that find it”. He asked how many would be saved? He answered: “Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able”. (Luke 13:24)

    The Gate to Heaven is straight - no crookedness can enter there. Foolish pride must be swept away. There is no room for human reasoning because the gate will not move, be enlarged or slanted to take in the new ideology, theories or curricula of sinful, carnal humanity. Some preach that there are many ways to be saved and gain admittance into the Kingdom of God.

    This is utterly false. “Jesus saith unto him, I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me.” (John 14:6)

     Jesus did not say, I am one of the ways, but He said I AM THE WAY. No wonder our Lord said, “Strait is the gate”, for that gate will not bend or expand to accept any other doctrines or beliefs except the words, teachings and doctrine of Jesus Christ, the Son of the living God. 

    The gate that Jesus spoke of will not conform or change to fit the traditions or customs of a changing world and a carnal, secular society. NO, THANK GOD! The Gate that leads to God and Heaven is FIXED forever and is as unchanging as God Himself.

      Anyone entering this gate must humble himself, and in order to enter the straight gate must do so on his knees leaving behind him all his unbelief, pride, lust and greed. There is no room for excess baggage as the individual passes through this gate. Webster’s Dictionary defines the word “straight” as Jesus used it here as, “Being in a right line”. 

    That right line is God’s way - none other will do!

The hymn writer penned the words:

“Just as I am without one plea,

But that Thy blood was shed for me,

And that Thou bidst me come to Thee,

O Lamb of God I come, I come.”

    Without exception, everyone must come the same way, and there is no respect of persons - rich and poor, educated and illiterate, wise and foolish - all must come in through the same gate and conform to the straightness of this gate. There is no favoritism or partiality.

     There is only one way to God, Heaven and eternal life. It is a definite, certain and fixed way, and that way is Jesus Christ, the Saviour of the world. Jesus said, “I am the door: by Me if any man enter in, he shall be saved”. (John 10:9). Here Jesus emphasizes that there is only one door, and to be saved we must come through Him.

     There are not many doors to God’s Kingdom, but one only - the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus says, “No man cometh unto the Father, but by Me”. (John 14:6) There it is! Mohammed, Buddha, Confucius, Shiva or the Pope will not do - the Virgin Mary, St. Peter or the angel Moroni cannot save you.     There is no other way to be saved than by and through God’s Divine Resurrected Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. St. Peter declared, “There is none other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved”. (Acts 4:12)

                   THERE ARE MILLIONS OF GODS!

    The heathen have millions of gods and false Christs, but there is only ONE TRUE CHRIST and His Name is the Lord Jesus Christ - the only one who is able to save you. The Bible says, “There is one mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus”. (1 Tim. 2:5)

     Jesus Christ the resurrected Saviour is the mediator between Almighty God and sinful man.

     Millions of people seek peace and forgiveness by bathing in some river or by having holy water - supposedly blessed by a religious person - sprinkled upon them. Others, by making pilgrimages to shrines, reciting repetitious prayers continually, counting beads or doing penance by lying on spikes, walking on coals of fire, beating themselves and even carrying a cross on their back or abstaining from food.

    BUT, OH, HOW FUTILE! WHAT A WASTE OF TIME AND ENERGY WHEN WE KNOW THE TRUTH - when Jesus Christ has paid the penalty for our sins and has shed His blood; suffered and died so that we can be forgiven, healed and blessed; and that He rose again from the dead and lives forevermore!

    There is only ONE Who can give peace to troubled minds, joy to tortured hearts, new life to the lost and forgiveness to the sinful, and I must shout it out loud and clear, His Name is Jesus. He alone is the Saviour of the world. The hymn writer stated:

“What can wash away my sin,

Nothing but the blood of Jesus;

What can make me pure within

Nothing but the blood of Jesus.

Oh! Precious is the flow

That makes me white as snow;

No other fount I know,

Nothing but the blood of Jesus.”

    God's Word says, “Without shedding of blood is no remission”. (Heb. 9:22); “The blood of Jesus Christ, His Son cleanseth us from all sin.” (1 John 1:7). Many ask, “Why could not Buddha, Mohammed or the Pope be saviours as well as Jesus? The answer is very simple!

     The Bible declares, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life”. (John 3:16). God had only One Son, and His only begotten Son’s name was not Buddha, Mohammed, Shiva or Pope Pius.  The name of God’s Son is JESUS.

    The angel said to Joseph: “Thou shalt call His name Jesus: for He shall save His people from their sins”. (Matt.1: 23); Jesus said, “As My Father hath sent Me, even so send I you”. (John 20:21); “As Thou hast sent Me into this world, even so have I also sent them into the world.” (John 17:18)

     Jesus repeatedly stated that He is the Son of God. (John 5:18; 10:30 - 33; Mark 14: 61,62) And don’t forget that Jesus Christ was the only One Who died on the cross for our sins, fulfilling the Old Testament prophesies (Isaiah 53:4,5; Matt.8:16,17; 1 Peter 2:24), and we read that Jesus was, “declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the Spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead”. (Rom. 1:4) Praise the Lord!

    So we see that the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead sets Him apart from all other men of all ages and gives final proof to the fact that He was, is and always will be the Divine, Holy Son of God and the only Saviour of the world. Jesus Christ stands completely and altogether above everyone else because He was the only one who had power to rise from the dead.

    A dead man cannot help you and all of those other people who have been mentioned are dead and gone, but Jesus Christ lives on in power and greatness; resurrected and alive; able to save and deliver all who come unto God by Him. (Heb. 7:25)

          ON WHICH ROAD ARE YOU TRAVELLING?

    Now I want to ask you a pointed question: Who's Side are you on? On which road are you travelling? As you read these lines I must remind you that you are on one of these roads, either the broad road with the wide gate which will take you to an eternal hell, or the narrow road with the straight gate that brings you to Heaven and Eternity with God. There is NO middle road and NO neutral ground. You are either on one road or the other.

     We are all travellers into Eternity. Every person living today is on one of these roads. If you have not given your heart and life to God and accepted Jesus Christ as your Saviour, Lord and Master, then you are a lost soul on the road to hell, and will never have peace, joy or happiness in this life or the one to come, if you continue in the way you are going.

    TODAY, AS YOU READ THESE LINES YOU CAN COME TO JESUS AND BY FAITH TURN YOUR LIFE OVER TO GOD; GET OFF THE BROAD ROAD AND GET ON THE ONE THAT LEADS TO GLORY.            “By grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast.” (Eph. 2:8-9)

     As the Holy Spirit moves upon you, will you not surrender your entire life to the Lord; slip down on your knees in prayer to God; cry out for mercy as the publican did in the Bible, “God, be merciful to me a sinner”; (Luke 18:10-14)

      Accept the full and free salvation that God offers you now, and you will enter the straight gate and be on the narrow road of Christian living. Jesus said, “Come unto Me all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest”. (Matt. 11:28) Amen.

THE WORDS CAME AND

I WROTE THEM DOWN

Several years ago as was sitting at the kitchen table, suddenly words began coming into my mind in rhyme. I took a pen and jotted then down on paper. Here they are:

Victory in Jesus, my Saviour forever

His promise is, 'I'll forget you never'

Born of the Spirit, I am His very own

My sins all forgiven by His Blood alone

His love so amazing, His mercy divine

He took me and made His Father mine

I was a delinquent, so far from His fold

With love He called me out of the cold

I've been walking with Jesus for many years

I listen for His Voice that quells all my fears

I hear Him say, 'Fear not my precious son

I'll come to get you when your work is done.'

The world is waiting for the message of love

Longing for a touch from the Master Above

Haste then My servant, be quick to say, 'Yes'

Tell them of Jesus & His name they'll confess

I called you to labour in My vineyard so large

You were willing to go, so I gave you a Charge

Stand firm on My promise, 'I'll leave you not'

Right to the end until all the battles are fought

Great things I have shown you over the years

Through much joy and sorrow and even tears

You've been true to the Gospel of My dear Son

In numerous places lost souls have been won

The Blood of the Lamb you've exalted so high

Doubters have queried; you've told them why

From John the Baptist who said, 'This is He'

Through His Blood, you've made demons flee

It's much darker now then when you began

To carry My Son's Gospel from land to land

This is the beginning of the 'Time of the End'

Satan is working to destroy Jesus' friends

He moves like a lion to steal, kill and destroy

Proud hate-filled leaders his tools do deploy

Fearful and desperate his fate is well known

The Battle was over when I moved the Stone

Soldiers fell to the ground when Jesus arose

Satan's End is near, as the Liar well knows

The Gospel of Christ will set all men free

God's Miracles of Power will bring liberty

The trumpet will sound & the saints will ascend

To meet our dear Saviour and departed friends

The Glory of God will stretch from sky to sky

And to this old world, you'll say a final goodbye

THE BLOOD OF CHRIST:

MAN'S ONLY HOPE!

      “For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the Gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the CROSS OF CHRIST should be made of none effect. For the PREACHING OF THE CROSS is to them that perish foolishness, but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. But we preach CHRIST CRUCIFIED, unto the Jews a stumbling block, and unto the Greeks foolishness, but unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.” (1 Cor. 1: 17, 18, 23, 24)

     For many years, the Christian Church has presented the claims of Jesus Christ to be able to save lost souls, heal the sick and liberate the suffering and wounded and granting Eternal Life, on the basis of His shed blood, vicarious death and glorious resurrection.

     With gusto and great fervour, saints of God have preached the Word and written songs, proclaiming the power of the shed blood of Jesus Christ to break every fetter and to set the captives free. Hallelujah!

      In his book, ‘The Cruciality of the Cross’ Dr. Henry Mabie writes: “The Greek word used by Paul in 1 Cor.1: 18, is Logos...” not preaching but “the subject matter of preaching; with the very essence of that which was to be preached; with the Logos of the Cross, which constituted a rationale, it’s Divine reason, a reason which…he declares to be the wisdom of God. This ‘Logos of the Cross’ is conceived by Paul to be the key which unlocks the riddle of the universe, solves all mysteries and reconciles all things.”

                           A SUBJECT MATTER SO MAGNANIMOUS!

     The sacrificial death of the incarnated (God in human flesh) Son of God to redeem the world, is a subject matter so powerful, so magnanimous and so incomprehensible that mortal man can only stand in holy awe at its immensity, enormity and grandiose love that we are left speechless!

     The blood of Jesus Christ which He freely gave for sinful, rebellious and hell-bound, guilty sinners, purges our consciences from all guilt, delivers us from the power of sin and liberates us from Satan and his evil kingdom, for time and eternity!

     And as Dr. Henry Mabie states: “This Logos of the Cross is conceived by Paul to be the key which unlocks the riddle of the universe, solves all mysteries and reconciles all things.”

      I agree one hundred per cent with that analysis and commentary - which is the greatest I have ever heard - but still doesn’t even begin to cover the eternal consequences of the incarnation, passion, death and resurrection of Christ Jesus our Lord, Creator and God!

      St. Paul came closer when He wrote: “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him.” (1 Cor.2: 9)

      How helpless we are without His indwelling presence and yet how strong when He is moving within us by His awesome power. How amazing that the God of Heaven and Ruler of the Universe would deign to identify Himself with mere earthlings and to dwell within us.

       It has been said that truth is stranger than fiction. It is difficult to understand why so many have been blinded by Satan and coerced into rejecting Jesus Christ, Who gives Eternal Life freely to all who humble themselves and receive Him as Lord and Saviour!

      That men and women endowed with a free will would choose to follow a murderous Liar, manipulating Deceiver and the despicable Enemy of God down the broad road that leads to perdition and Hell is an enigma of the very worst kind! How is it possible that thinking individuals made in the image of God, could become so deceived?

                                       GOD'S ABSOLUTE INTEGRITY!

     And yet, Almighty God in His absolute integrity and fairness and knowing the wickedness and cunning of the defrocked and fallen Lucifer, still created our first parents Adam and Eve and placed them in Eden's Garden with a free will to follow good and reject evil!

     After their disastrous fall by committing high treason against their Creator and God, the love of our Heavenly Father drove them out of Eden so they would not partake of the fruit on the Tree of Life and live forever in their sins!

     In His great mercy, God made a way of escape from their sins and the snare of the Devil, through the sacrificial system which pointed to Christ. In passing judgment on the serpent as an accomplice of Satan, He laid out His great plan of salvation which had been hidden in His heart from before the foundation of the world.

      He said: "I will put enmity between thee and the woman and between thy seed and her SEED (Christ); It shall bruise (crush) thy head, and thou bruise His heel." (Gen 3:15)

      This is what we call in theology, the 'Law of the First Mention'! The first mention is of the Deliverer Whom God would send to crush Satan's head. The second is the Virgin Birth of the Deliverer. He is called the SEED of the woman! God's only begotten Son would be incarnated (God in human flesh) to emancipate Adam's fallen race through the sacrifice of Himself, to meet the demands of divine justice in payment for our sins!

      How could anyone with a natural mind, if not inspired by the Holy Spirit, be able to digest these amazing truths? The Bible clearly states: “But the natural man receives not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.” (1 Cor.2: 14)

      There is a vast difference between the carnal and the spiritual man. And because we have not allowed the Liar any place in us, we can truthfully and boldly declare that God is omnipotent (all powerful), omniscient (all knowing), omnipresent (everywhere present at once).

     We know that God's Word is incomprehensible (unknowable) and that Jesus Christ is TRUE GOD from eternity and TRUE MAN through His incarnation (born of a virgin) and the Only Saviour of the world.

A NEW CREATURE IN CHRIST JESUS!

   St. Paul was not a believer in Jesus Christ at first. He was a blatant blasphemer, injurious and a hater of believers in Christ. That all changed when he met JESUS on the Damascus Road. (Acts 9, 22 and 26).

     He stated: "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold all things are become new. And all things are of God, Who hath RECONCILED us to Himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation.

     "That is, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are AMBASSADORS for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us; we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God." (2 Cor.5:17-20)

      Again he stated: "But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: Which none of the princes of this world knew for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of Glory." (1 Cor. 2: 7, 8)

      Here is the real reason so many reject the Saviour Jesus Christ: "For God so loved the world, that He gave His Only Begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

    "For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He that believeth on Him is not condemned; but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

     "And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For everyone that doeth evil hates the light that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God." (John 3: 16-21)

                                THE CASE FOR CHRIST OUR LORD

      Loudly and triumphantly, I make the case for Christ! There is no-one like Him. He is the One and Only Saviour of the world. He is the Great Physician Who heals us from all our sorrows, problems, sins and diseases! He baptizes believers with the Holy Spirit and Fire!

     The Bible says: "He came unto His own and His own received Him not. But as many as received, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name." (John 1: 11, 12)

      Believe on Him today and He will give you the power to become His ADOPTED CHILD: "Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in Heavenly places in Christ.

      "According as He hath chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love:

      "Having predestinated us unto the ADOPTION of children by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, wherein He hath made us ACCEPTED in the Beloved." (Eph.1:2-11)

JESUS OUR HIGH PRIEST & INTERCESSOR!

    "But this Man, because He continues ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood. Wherefore He is able also to SAVE them to the uttermost that come unto God by Him, seeing He ever lives to make intercession for them." (Heb. 7: 25)

     Dr. Elderheim, a convert to Christ from Judaism wrote: “And still the Cry of the Synagogue comes to us through these many centuries of past unbelief and ignorance: 'Let One Innocent come and make Atonement for the Guilty!' to which no other response can be made than that of the Apostle:

     “Such an High Priest became us, Who is Holy, Harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners and made higher than the Heavens,” (Hebrews 7:26)

      JESUS OUR SUBSTITUTE: “For when we were yet without strength in due time Christ died for the ungodly, For scarcely for a righteous man will one die, yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.

      “But God commendeth His love toward us that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then being now justified by His blood we shall be saved from wrath through him. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of His Son, much more, being reconcied, we shall be saved through His life.” (Rom. 5: 6-10)

      "For such an high priest became us, Who is Holy, Harmless, Undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher hat the heavens. Who needs not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for His own sins, and then for the people: for this He did once, when He offered up Himself." (Heb.7: 26, 27)

     JESUS' ENDLESS LIFE: "For that after the similitude of Melchisedec there arises another priest, Who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an ENDLESS LIFE. For He testifies, Thou art a priest forever after the order of Melchisedec." (Heb. 7: 15-17)

     Jesus Christ declared: "I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead.

     "And He laid His right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not, I am the First and the Last: I am He that Lives and was dead; and behold, I AM ALIVE forevermore, Amen; and have the keys of Hell and of Death." (Rev. 1: 8, 17, 18)

      JESUS IS MY LIFE: He said: "Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine, no more can ye, except ye abide in Me. I am the Vine, ye are the branches:

     "He that abides in Me and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit: For without Me, ye can do NOTHING. If ye abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you." (John 15: 4-7)

     Again our Lord promised: "I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. At that day ye shall know that I am in My Father, and YE in ME, and I in YOU. He that hath My commandments and keeps them, he it is that loves me: and he that loves Me shall be loved of My Father, and I will love him and will manifest Myself to him.

     "Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love Me, he will keep My words: and My Father will love him and we (My Father and I) will come unto him, and make our abode with him." (John 14: 18-20, 21, 23).

      "I am the LIVING BREAD which came down from Heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live forever: and the bread that I will give is My flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.

     "Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink His blood, ye have no life in you. Whoso eats My flesh and drinks my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. For My flesh is meat indeed, and My blood is drink indeed.

      "He that eats My flesh and drinks My blood, dwells in ME and I in him. As the Living Father hath sent Me, and I live by the Father; so he that eats Me shall live by Me. This is the BREAD which came down from Heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna and are dead: he that eats of this bread shall live forever." (John 6: 51-58)

     After stating that to receive Eternal Life we must eat His flesh and drink His blood, Jesus clearly emphasized that He was speaking about the spiritual experience of becoming ONE with Him and the Heavenly Father, through the Holy Spirit.

     He was NOT advocating eating His actual physical flesh and drinking His physical blood. It was an analogy of the nearness, closeness and oneness of Jesus Christ to His Children through the new Birth!

     It is drawing strength and life from Him Who purchased our Redemption by His atoning work through His intense suffering and vicarious death on the cross.

      "He was wounded for our transgressions. He was bruised for our iniquities. The chastisement for our peace was upon Him and with His STRIPES we are healed." (Is. 53: 4.5)

     Our Lord Jesus said: "It is the spirit that quickens (makes life); the FLESH profits NOTHING; the words that I speak into you, they are spirit and they are life." (John 6: 63)

MYSTERY OF CHRIST IN US!

      This is the great Mystery that was revealed to St. Paul through the Holy Spirit, namely, Christ entering into the very innermost being of believers at the time of conversion to Jesus Christ!

      He said: "Even the Mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to His saints: To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this Mystery among the Gentiles; which is CHRIST IN YOU, the Hope of Glory." (Col.1: 26, 27)

      When we received Christ as personal Saviour, He took up His abode in our hearts and lives! By Jesus Christ living within us through the blessed Holy Spirit we automatically receive His life within our being! He gives us His life because He is the Creator and the Life giver! We draw His life into ourselves by becoming a part of Him, as He enters our lives with His Holy Spirit!

     Through our union with Jesus Christ we are protected from the power of Darkness which is seeking to envelope the world. The Blood of Jesus Christ is the only solvent that is able to wash sinners from the filth, stench and corruption - both spiritually and physically - that is Satan's signature plan and strategy! Christ's Victory is Satan's Defeat and our Liberty!

    St. Paul states: "If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are Above, where Christ sits on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things Above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your LIFE IS HID with CHRIST IN GOD. When Christ WHO IS OUR LIFE shall appear, then shall ye also appear with Him in Glory.

     "Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence and covetousness, which is idolatry. For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience."

      Jesus spoke of the 'PROMISE OF THE FATHER' to His disciples before His departure to Heaven. He was referring to the outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon His band of followers, who would comprise the Church (called out ones) which He would build.

     The HOLY BIBLE says: "In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto Me and drink. He that believeth on Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

     "But this He spake of the Spirit, which they that believe on Him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because Jesus was not yet glorified." (John 7:37-39)

      What an honour to be filled with God, the Blessed Holy Spirit! To be called by the Holy Spirit, saved by the precious BLOOD of Jesus Christ and filled with that Holy Spirit of Promise and be led by His nail scarred hand!

     The great Apostle to the Gentiles stated: "For in Him (Christ) we live, and move, and have our being..." (Acts 17: 28)

JESUS IS MY AGAPE LOVE!

      Jesus said: "As the Father hath loved Me, so have I loved you: continue ye in My love If ye keep y commandments, ye shall ABIDE IN MY LOVE; even as I have kept My Father's commandments, and abide in His love.

     "These things have I spoken unto you, that My JOY may remain in you, and that your JOY might be full. This is My commandment, that ye love one another, as I have loved you." (John 15: 9-12).

      St. Paul testified: "I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but CHRIST LIVETH IN ME: and the life which I now live in the flesh, I live by the faith of the Son of God, Who loved me and gave Himself for me." (Gal.2: 20)

     St John declared: "Ye are of God little children, and have overcome them (evil spirits): because Greater is He that is IN YOU, than he that is in the world." (1 John 4: 4). Greater is Jesus Christ Who purchased our forgiveness, peace, joy, healing and abundant life through His death on the Cross.

       He ABIDES within us together with the blessed Holy Spirit, Who leads us and gives us the wisdom, strength and power of the Risen Jesus Christ to show forth the love, mercy and grace of God to a lost and dying world!

      Christ's Victory is Satan's Defeat and our Liberty! Amen.

DIVINE DELIVERANCE

    "When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him." (Isaiah 59:19)

"Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ, Who gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God our Father." (Gal.1:3-4)

    "The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished." (2 Pet. 2:9)

In this end-time generation, Satan has arrayed every weapon he has against the Church! The Scriptures state, "...for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time." (Rev. 12:12)

Satan is working day and night to do all the EVIL he can in order to satisfy his Evil lusts. He realizes that his TIME is short, so he is working overtime to tear down the Work of God on earth. The BIBLE says: “The devil as a roaring lion, walketh about seeking whom he may Devour.” (1 Peter 5:8)

    Sin with a capital "S" has made inroads everywhere as corrupt men and seducers wax worse and worse, (2 Tim. 3:13) deceiving and being deceived. The world glitters with the pleasures, lusts and greed of a fallen and lost race!

    This generation has produced more pitfalls and snares than any other, with which to capture people's minds and ruin their bodies and souls!

FALSE PROPHETS SHALL ARISE!

    Apostates, False Teachers and so-called Modernists (their teaching is actually as old as the devil) have made havoc of the Church and have torn away the moral guide lines and foundation stones of truth, righteousness and purity from the minds of thousands, in this generation.

    L.S.D., S.T.P., marijuana and other more dangerous illicit drugs have gained a strong foothold in the lives of careless, rebellious and uninformed young people, while King Alcohol has enslaved millions of unsuspecting souls in his demonic grasp.

    Jesus prophesied of this generation, when He spoke of false prophets arising to deceive! (Matt. 24:24-26) No doubt He was speaking about the false cults and strange religious and psychic groups we see at work today, deceiving and brainwashing both young and old! And of the world-wide conspiracy of the devious, diabolical and dangerous New Age Movement!

     They asked Christ, "What shall be the sign of thy coming and of the end of the world?" He prophesied many signs which would point to His imminent return. Signs such as wars, rumors of wars, earthquakes, famines, epidemics of disease, gross immorality, perversion (look at the divorce rate as well as the homosexual, deviant sexual revolution).

     Jesus declared that there would be a state of fear, bringing death (men's hearts failing them for fear - heart attacks). He also spoke of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit as a valid sign of His Coming and of the End of Time! (Rev. 3:19-21)

IT IS NO WONDER THE DEVIL IS MAD!

    It is no wonder he is going all out to persuade young people to turn against their parents, get hooked on drugs or freak-out. Satan is the most devious, wicked and hate-filled personality known to mankind!

    He is a clever deceiver and liar and would like nothing better than to break up marriages, cause people to commit murder, become sexual deviants, sadistic or go violently insane! His main aim is to damn souls in Hell forever!

    Satan is working against the Church in this midnight hour with everything he has, but of course he has been defeated and his time is limited. Soon it will be "Game Over" for him! Praise the Lord!

    Satan is marching against TIME; every time the clock on the wall says another hour has gone, the devil has one hour less to enslave, destroy and bring into bondage the members of the human race.

    One day he will be bound and cast into the bottomless pit; forever banished from those who love Christ!

    SATAN WAS DEFEATED ON CALVARY'S CROSS WHEN JESUS CHRIST DIED VICTORIOUSLY, SHEDDING HIS BLOOD FOR THE REMISSION OF OUR SINS AND THE SALVATION OF OUR SOULS; AND THEN RISING AGAIN TRIUMPHANT OVER DEATH, HELL AND THE GRAVE!

    Since that time Satan has gone about usurping illegal power, scaring people into submission, deceiving and lying to draw them into his snare, and using his "glittering lights" tactics and "rebel and revolt" method of turning people away from God and righteousness.

    We know his tactics however, and St. Paul said it perfectly in 2 Cor. 2:11, "We are not ignorant of the devil's devices."

WE HAVE NO FEAR!

    Since we know his strategy and realize his desperation in this late hour, and because we have the power of God to overcome him, we do not fear him! Many people perish because of fear, but God's Word states, "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind". (2 Tim. 1:7)

   In Isaiah 41:10, God speaks to His people on this wise, "Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God; I will strengthen thee; yea I will help thee: yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of My righteousness." Hallelujah!

     The BIBLE states, "Perfect love casteth out fear". (1 John 4:18)

    Jesus Christ gave us the assurance of His nearness when He said, "I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee" (Heb 13:5) and "Lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world" (Matt. 28:20).

    Our Saviour promised, "Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you." (Luke 10:19).

   How powerful is that? Nothing shall by ANY MEANS hurt you! That is total protection, guaranteed by Jesus Christ Himself! The Old Testament confirms this: “There shall no EVIL befall thee, neither shall any PLAGUE come nigh thy dwelling.” (Psalm 91:10). PRAISE GOD!

WE HAVE THE WEAPONS!

    The Bible, which is God's Divine, Infallible Word to mankind, has the answers to the most complex questions and problems. It reveals our rights and privileges together with our responsibilities; we learn of our God-given weapons, our abilities and the power available to us from our Blessed Lord Jesus Christ, when we fully yield to Him.

    “The weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God, to the pulling down of strongholds, casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God and bringing into CAPTIVITY every thought to the obedience of Christ.” (2 Cor. 10: 4,5).

    St. Paul stated, "Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

    "Wherefore, take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all to stand.

     "Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; and your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith, ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

     “And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints." (Eph. 6:10-18)

     The Apostle Paul stated, "Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, where unto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses." (1 Tim.6:12)

YOUR ADVERSARY - THE DEVIL!

     The Bible pin-points the source of all trouble: "Be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour." (1 Pet. 5:8)

    Satan is our Adversary, but St. Peter tells us to "Resist him." How is that done? It cannot be done in our own strength. It is ONLY in Jesus' Name that we are able to conquor Satan and Evil.

    Use your faith in the shed BLOOD of Jesus to resist the Devil. User your faith in the Word of God to resist the Devil. Use the POWER of the Holy Spirit within you and the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ to resist the Devil. Use your godly life, your prayers, your witnessing and your honest report to resist the Devil. Resist him in the FAITH!

     St. James admonished, "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." (James 4:7) Hallelujah! The literal Greek states that Satan will flee "in terror" from us!

    The Apostle Paul says that in the Christian life, "there are many adversaries" (1 Cor.16:9) and, "All that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution." (2 Tim. 3:12)

    But for those who live in sin there is, "A certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries." (Heb. 10:27)

     A note of COURAGE and VICTORY continues in Phil. 1:27-28; "That ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel; and in nothing terrified by your adversaries: which is to them an evident token of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that of God."

    Again St. Paul prays, "And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith." (2 Th. 3:2). His admonition to Timothy to fight the good fight of faith came from a determined, disciplined and totally surrendered life to God's will.

     He wrote: "And now, behold, I go bound in the spirit unto Jerusalem, not knowing the things that shall befall me there; save that the Holy Ghost witnesseth in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions abide me.

    "But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and in the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God." (Acts 20:24). PAUL WAS MARTYRED FOR HIS LORD!

     His final declaration of the "Fight of Faith" thrills my heart. It is found in 2 Tim. 4:6-8. Earlier he declared that he was not only willing to be bound for the Name of Jesus but that he was also willing to die for the Name of Jesus Christ. He received that privilege!

    "For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing."

THERE IS DIVINE DELIVERANCE!

    Thank God, there is Divine help for every situation and circumstance; we can pray to our Heavenly Father in the Wonderful Name of Jesus Christ, and get an answer. I thank God for that!

    There is complete deliverance from all the power of the devil; forgiveness for your sins; divine healing for your sick body; liberation from your fears and frustrations, and total freedom from evil spirits and demon powers.

    All this and more from the hand of God, in Jesus' wonderful Name. Satan CANNOT harass you if you are a child of God. He has no legal right to dominate you, my friend, because you are God's property, and you are covered with the Blood of Jesus! When the Enemy understands that you KNOW the Truth, his power over you will be destroyed!

     There is total healing for the complete man. God will heal your spirit, soul (mind) and your body!

     The BIBLE says: "But He (Jesus) was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities (healing for our spirit), the chastisement of our peace was upon Him (the healing of our mind) and with His stripes we are healed. (healing for our body) (Is. 53:5)

    My dear friend, turn to Christ now. Repent of your sins, renounce the devil, and he will flee from you!

ASSEMBLY LINE MINISTERS!

    The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the Gospel of Deliverance! It is not a weak-kneed, "women and children only" gospel - A thousand times No! The Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ is also for real "He-men". It is the Gospel of power, reality and action; the Gospel of Deliverance!

     For too long the pulpits of our land have been dominated by men and women who have been educated at seminaries in the art of public relations, psychology and religious politics. Many of these ministers are only servants of a religious order and system with a set of dead creeds, dogmas and rituals; with no vision or contact with God and no real deliverance for the multitudes in need!

     When such a man is approached by sin-sick souls trying to find forgiveness for their sins and peace of mind, they are not taken to the throne of mercy in prayer, but rather referred to a psychiatrist who, with his human advice (which usually excludes the Word of God), begins the drawn out and very expensive (of course now the Government pays) procedure of probing the mind and quieting the conscience.

    People are often told: "There is nothing wrong with pre-marital sex, it is quite normal to be a homosexual; there is nothing wrong with having extra marital relations"! And alcoholics are informed that they are not sinners, but have a disease!

     A hopeless alcoholic approached a minister for help. He was offered a cigarette to calm his nerves and referred to 'Alcoholics Anonymous.' Incidentally that was his final attempt in obtaining help. He felt that if a man of God could not help him there was no hope; his drunkenness earned him a jail sentence.

     His wife and family suffered, his name was disgraced by his many sinful acts and he lost all confidence in himself. The cigarette smoking preacher could have helped him, but didn't even suggest prayer.

     In prison, he began rehabilitation and was made a trustee, and therefore allowed to leave the prison on certain errands on behalf of the penal system.

While eating his lunch at a nearby cafe, the Gospel of Jesus Christ was presented to him; not by a man of the cloth but by a waitress who had experienced the Grace of God in her own life; the contact was made and the Gospel presented to this man - first in tract form and later by word of mouth.

    The prisoner was gloriously converted to Christ, later released from prison on good behaviour and returned to his wife and children. He got a good job, paid his bills and became a living testimony to other alcoholics and convicts of the saving grace of our Blessed Lord!! Praise God.

GUILT AND CONDEMNATION!

     Guilt and condemnation cannot be reasoned away or removed through shock treatment, drugs or even drunkenness. The senses can be dulled and the conscience deadened but the knowledge of sinfulness, quilt, remorse, failure and shame can only be removed through the Gospel of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and His atoning work on Calvary's cross.

    Only the shed BLOOD of Jesus Christ has the power to wash away SIN and GUILT from the human heart, break all existing Evil Habits and Restore the individual to a healthy state of mind and full communion with God!

    When the guilt and condemnation is removed through confession of sins to God and acceptance of the Lord Jesus Christ as personal Saviour, a great peace floods the soul and a tranquility invades the entire being that dispels all worry, frustration, fear, unbelief and sadness.

     The Scripture says, "...and (Christ) having made peace through the Blood of His Cross, by Him to reconcile all things unto Himself ..." (Col. 1:20) Jesus said, "Peace I leave with you My peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." (John 14:27)

     Only Christ, Who is the Prince of Peace, is able to bring peace to troubled hearts and lives. Listen to the blessed words of help and deliverance found in Phil. 4:6-7, "...but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."

     Jesus' invitation goes out to everyone: "Come unto Me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden and I will give you rest." (Matt. 11:28). And in Isaiah 1:18 the Bible says, "Come now and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow: though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool."

BEING JUSTIFIED BY FAITH!

    When the sin is gone and the Lord Jesus Christ has entered into the heart by faith, a person experiences a newness of life: "Therefore if any man be in Christ he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." (2 Cor. 5:17)

     The condemnation is gone and with it guilt, remorse and discouragement. Words of life and assurance come to us from the Holy Bible: "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit." (Rom. 8:1)

     The reason we have peace and "no condemnation" is because we have received God's gift of Eternal Life, which is offered to the human race and made possible by the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

    Here the Scriptures deal with Justification, or being made just, righteous, forgiven, exonerated and pardoned by our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and His shed blood.

    "Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ." (Rom. 5:1). “For by Grace are ye Saved through Faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the Gift of God: Not of works lest any man should boast.” (Eph. 2:8-9)

     Our LORD said, "And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. They answered Him, We be Abraham's seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest Thou. Ye shall be made free?

     “Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever. If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. (John 8:32-36)

     There is nothing to compare with the peace, joy, happiness and blessing that comes to us through the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ! There is absolutely nothing that God is unable to do and, "No good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly." (Ps. 84:11)

    The Scripture says that, “God hath Delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the Kingdom of His dear Son.” (Col. 1:13)

    When Jesus Christ came into our lives, the power of evil was broken, the chains burst asunder and the shackles that had us bound were gone forever. We were made free! Free from sin, evil habits, evil motives and evil desires.

     Instead of being afraid we were full of confidence; instead of hatred, love ruled in our hearts and instead of being tormented, our very testimony caused the devil to flee, and the peace of God flooded our souls. Not only was this the experience when we were first converted, but this is our testimony today!

     The experience of conversion and the new birth does not become stale or out of date; it is ever a refreshing experience to walk by faith and serve God with a clean and pure heart.

     We have been liberated by Almighty God and our citizenship has been changed. The power of Darkness, Sin and Evil held sway in our lives, but then, JESUS came and broke the Chains!

     We are now in the Kingdom of Christ, happy and free; sin's shackles that bound us are broken forever as we serve our Blessed Lord Jesus with joy and enthusiasm. The Scripture says, "Whom the Son sets free is free indeed." (John 8:32) Hallelujah!

DELIVERANCE FROM FEAR, THROUGH CHRIST!

     Fear is one of the greatest enemies of mankind. Nothing can cripple a human being like the Spirit of Fear. When it grips a victim in its ugly tentacles the results are terrifying and devastating; it breeds worry, anxiety, frustration, perplexities and torment.

     The Bible says, "Fear hath torment". (1 John 4:18); "For God hath not given us the Spirit of Fear." (2 Tim. 1:7) Here, fear is named as a spirit and since there is only one Holy Spirit and fear is opposite to faith, and, "Without faith it is impossible to please God," (Heb. 11:6) we therefore conclude that fear is an evil spirit!

     The Scriptures state that God has not given us the Spirit of Fear, but He has given us power, love and a sound mind. Since fear brings torment we know it is a product of satanic bondage. God is good and brings peace, love and joy to those who trust in Him. And the devil is the author of confusion, torment and unrest.

      Jesus said, "The thief (devil) cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." (John 10:10) We have complete freedom from fear as we let God's love flood our souls. Remember, "Perfect love casteth out fear". (1 John 4:18).

DELIVERANCE FROM SIN, THROUGH CHRIST!

    Satan's power over our lives ended when we accepted Christ as our personal Saviour. Unbelief had to give way to faith, insecurity vanished as confidence rushed in, sorrow retreated in the face of joy, and defeat was no opponent for victory!

     The melancholy spirit of despair disappeared when hope came shouting down the road and peace filled our troubled mind, spirit and body as torment fled. Pride was ashamed when humility entered, lust moved aside to let purity in, while greed and covetousness gave way to unselfishness. Darkness was no match for light, sickness was overcome by health and death had to give up when life made its gigantic appearance. Hallelujah to Jesus Christ our Lord and God!

     The Scripture says, "Whom the Son sets free is free indeed." (John 8:36) The Bible says, "For sin shall not have dominion over you" (Rom. 6:14) and, "If any man be in Christ he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." (2 Cor. 5:17)

     God's Word states, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that heareth My word, and believeth on Him that sent Me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life." (John 5:24) Praise the Lord!

DELIVERANCE FROM SICKNESS, DISEASE & DEMONS!

     Jesus died and rose again to purchase our complete salvation. The Bible teaches that Jesus wants to be Saviour of our entire being, which includes spirit, soul, mind and body.

    When Jesus walked upon earth, He not only forgave the sinner but healed the sick, suffering and diseased. The Scriptures abound with instances where Jesus brought healing to the sick and suffering and where He alleviated pain and cast out evil and tormenting spirits from those oppressed by them.

    The Holy Bible records, "How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: Who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil: for God was with Him." (Acts 10:38)

    The Scriptures classify sickness as the oppression of the Devil and Healing as doing Good! Remember, that Jesus came to do His Father's will and to destroy the works of the devil. (John 4:34)

    "For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil." (1 John 3:8)

     Two thirds of His earthly ministry was spent in healing the sick and casting out devils, while one third of His time was used in teaching and preaching. Jesus called sickness a plague! "And He said unto her, daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace and be whole of thy plague." (Mark 5:34)

     Jesus stated that Satan had bound a woman with a spirit of infirmity and that she should be loosed from Satan's grasp on the Sabbath day, seeing she was a daughter of Abraham (a child of faith). She no doubt was afflicted with arthritis of the back and hips.

     "And behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself. And when Jesus saw her, He called her to Him, and said unto her, woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity. And He laid his hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God." (Luke 13:11)

HEALED BY THE SPIRIT OF GOD!

    When healing the epileptic, blind, deaf and dumb and mentally deranged, often Jesus attributed these diseases to evil spirits, which He then cast out. (Mark 9:18-27; 2: 10-11; 5:8) However, not all epilepsy, blindness, deafness or other diseases are caused by evil spirits; some are caused by brain damage, accidents or other illness.

    The Lord Jesus Christ proved without a shadow of a doubt that Divine Healing and deliverance from evil spirits is done by the finger of God, (Luke 11:20) which is the Spirit of God, (Matt. 12:28) the Blessed Holy Ghost. (Luke 4:14; Mark 3:22-30)

     Jesus proved that Satan who is totally evil and who brings sin, fear, sickness, pain and torment upon people, cannot do anything that is good, since a good tree only brings forth good fruit and a corrupt tree corrupt fruit. He said, "By their fruits ye shall know them." (Matt. 7:15-20)

      Jesus said to the man sick of the palsy, "Son be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee." (Matt. 9:2) When the skeptics criticized Him, He asked the question, "Whether is easier, to say thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, arise, and walk? But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, then saith He to the sick of the palsy, arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house." (Matt. 9:5-6)

     The Scripture says that he was healed and went home glorifying God. Our Lord set the Record straight concerning Divine Healing. It is no harder for Him to forgive the sinner than to Heal the sick, and no more difficult for Him to Heal the sick than to forgive the sinner. He can and does both quite easily!

     As a matter of fact, He didn't even use the word "hard". He asked,"Which is easier?" (Not, "which is harder?") Nothing is hard for God.

YES, IT IS GOD'S WILL!

    Many ask the question, "Is it God's will to heal me?" A man once asked the Master Himself this same question. Here is the account of it, "And behold, there came a leper and worshipped Him, saying, Lord, if Thou wilt, Thou canst make me clean. And Jesus put forth His hand, and touched him, saying I will; be thou clean, and immediately his leprosy was cleansed." (Matt. 8:2-3)

    This is the only account of anyone asking the question regarding God's will to heal.  Jesus said to the leper (an incurable case), "I will; be thou clean." Hallelujah!

    There is only one account in the New Testament where Jesus failed to heal a great number of people and that was because of the people's unbelief. He only healed those who believed and because only a few believed in Him, He only healed a few. Jesus does not push Himself on people who refuse to believe: "And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief." (Mark 6:5-6)

    "And when Jesus was entered into Capernaum, there came unto Him a centurion, beseeching Him, and saying, Lord, my servant lieth at home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented. And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him.

   "The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that Thou shouldest come under my roof; but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed. For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me; and I say to this man, go and he goeth; and to another come and he cometh; and to my servant, do this, and he doeth it.

    "When Jesus heard it, He marvelled, and said to them that followed, verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel." (Matt.8:5-10). Here is a beautiful account of the willingness of our Lord Jesus Christ to heal the sick!

     The centurion told the Master about his sick servant. Immediately the Lord Jesus spoke up and said, "I will come and heal him!" The centurion stopped the Master by saying, "Just a moment please, I'm not worthy that You should come under my roof - all You have to do is speak the Word and my servant shall be healed."

    Then Jesus said, “Verily, I say unto you, I have not found so great Faith, not in Israel.” The Bible states that Jesus marvelled at the faith of this Roman (pagan) Centurion.

     Only twice in the New Testament do we find that Jesus marvelled. This was one of the occasions - the other was when He witnessed the unbelief of the religious people in Nazareth. "And He could there do no mighty work, save that He laid His hand upon a few sick folk, and healed them. And He marvelled because of their unbelief." (Mark 6:5-6)

UNBELIEF IS A GRIEVOUS SIN!

    Jesus said, "That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, andJacob, in the Kingdom of Heaven. But the children of the Kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth" (Matt. 8:11-12)

     There is NO SIN as great as the Sin of Unbelief. Unfortunately, there are many who say that they believe the Bible, but DENY certain portions of it to fit their man-made doctrines.

    The Scripture warns: "This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, truce breakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, high minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away." (2 Tim. 2: 1-5)

     Jesus' worst critics were those who refused to believe in His Healing Ministry and the casting out of devils. They even called Jesus a devil and said that He was casting out evil spirits by the power of the Beelzebub, the Prince of the Devils!

     “And He was casting out a devil that was dumb. And it came to pass, when the devil was gone out, the dumb spake; and the people wondered. But some of them said, He casteth out devils through Beelzebub the chief of the devils.

    “But He knowing their thoughts, said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brougth to desolation, and as a house divideth against itself falleth. If Satan also be divideth against himself, how shall his kingdom stand? Because ye say that I cast out devils through Beezebub. But if I with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the Kingdom of God is come upon you.” (Luke 11: 14-20)

OUR GOD IS ABLE TO DELIVER US!

    The three Hebrew children would not bow to the heathen idol and were cast into a burning fiery furnace. This punishment meant sure death since the furnace was heated seven times hotter than usual, because of the fury of the King against Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego.

    The heat was so intense that even the guards that threw them into the furnace were scorched to death. The Lord Jesus Christ Himself came on the scene and delivered them from the fire!

     The King looking into the furnace cried in amazement, "Did we not cast three men bound into the midst of the fire?... Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God." (Daniel 3:24-25). Praise God!

    A great miracle! True, it was a great miracle but here is why God performed this great miracle. When they were given the ultimatum by the King, they answered, "...O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter. If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up." (Daniel 3:16-18)

    GOOD NEWS: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have Eternal Life.” (John 3: 16); “But God commendeth His LOVE toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” (Rom.5:8); “I am the Good Shepherd. The good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep.” John 10:11); “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lays down his life for his friends. Ye are My friends if ye do whatsoever I command you.” (John 15: 13)

                              OUR GOD IS A GREAT DELIVERER!

     And He will Deliver us all from the powers of Evil, the destroying force of Disease, the crippling works of Fear, the demons of Poverty and the powers of accidents and calamity. By the power of the precious BLOOD of Jesus Christ and the power of His Holy Spirit we are safe! (Luke 4:18; Is. 61:1; Psalms 91: 10.)
