CHRISTIAN ON DEATH ROW FOR NINE YEARS
NOW FREE FROM SATANIC RELIGION!
I have some great news to share with you. I am now able to confirm that Asia Bibi has finally left Pakistan and is now safe and sound right here in Canada!
Praise God that after nine long years, this cruel and unjust ordeal has finally come to an end. Asia is now free to begin a new life in peace and safety among us.
As you may recall, Asia Bibi was arrested and charged with blaspheming the false prophet Mohammed after talking about Christ with her co-workers. She was found guilty and put on death row.
After languishing in prison since 2009, her appeal went through to the Supreme Court of Pakistan. On October 31st, 2018, the Court overturned Asia Bibi’s death sentence and acquitted her of all charges, ordering her immediate release.
However, the Supreme Court’s verdict inflamed the anger of radical Muslims in Pakistan. Violent protests erupted and spread all over the country, with thousands demanding that Asia Bibi be hanged. Asia’s life and freedom were once again in jeopardy.
After her case was formally reviewed, Asia was vindicated a second time. Then, months later, after being sequestered in a secret safe house in Pakistan, she was finally allowed to leave the country and obtain asylum here in Canada.
We at CitizenGO worked to petition the Pakistani government and draw attention to her plight over many years. Hundreds of thousands of CitizenGOers like you signed to show your support for Asia.
Our efforts also included rallies and prayer vigils all over the world. We even ran full- and half-page ads in leading international newspapers, including the Toronto Star and National Post. In addition, we raised thousands of dollars of aid to help Asia and her family.
It was a very long and difficult road to travel for Asia – an exceedingly heavy cross for her and her family to bear. But now, at long last, by God’s grace, she is truly free!
This is a victory we need to celebrate and share with others!
I want to thank you, our CitizenGO family, for all your prayers and financial support over the years in the cause of Asia Bibi. I also want to thank you for signing our petitions in her defence. Finally, I want to say a special thanks to those dozen souls who braved the cold and sleet to stand with me in front of the Pakistani Consulate in Toronto last fall (see below).
God has blessed all of your efforts, all of your prayers, and all of your sacrifice!
Due to the need to keep Asia Bibi safe as she starts her new life in Canada, we are unable to report on her new location or provide any other details at this time. All we can tell you is that she has been relocated somewhere in Western Canada.
