Max! It is 25 years today since I received my Miracle! Thank you, Jesus! Sept 3rd
1994. There is a significance of the 3rd day for me! It was confirmed
as a Miracle on Oct 3rd 1994 by Dr. Edward Abraham! All power and glory
to God!

“And His name through faith in His name hath
made this man strong whom ye see and know; yea, the faith which is by Him hath
given him this Perfect Soundness in
the presence of you all.” (Acts 3: 14-16)
Jesus of Nazareth had trained His disciples
and apostles to preach the Gospel, heal the sick, deliver the afflicted and
cast out devils. During his earthly Ministry our Saviour healed multitudes of
sick and suffering people, an example to those who would follow Him. He stated:
“As My Father has sent Me, so send I you.” (John 20:21).
He issued the
Great Commission and promised to send the Blessed Holy Spirit to empower them
for the great work of the Christian Ministry. He said: “And behold I send the
promise of My Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye
be endued with power from on High.” (Luke 24: 49);
“But ye shall
receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be My
witnesses both in all Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto
the uttermost part of the earth.” (Acts 1: 8)
THE GOSPEL IN OPERATION!
Does Jesus keep His Word? Yes, He does, and
He always will. He is “The Way, the TRUTH and the Life...” (John 14:6); “He is the
same yesterday and forever.” (Heb 13:8). Jesus stated: “Heaven and earth will
pass away, but My words shall not pass away.” (Matt. 24:35). As a matter of
fact, our Saviour said that it would be easier for the heavens and earth to
pass away than for His Word to fail!
The BIBLE says: “And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were
all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from Heaven
as of a rushing, mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were
sitting.
“And there appeared unto them cloven tongues
like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with
the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them
utterance.” (Acts 2: 1-4)
The Comforter had come, the Holy Ghost from
Heaven, the Father's promise given. And the Church of Jesus Christ was born!
Immediately, a miracle happened.
St. Peter delivered a powerful Pentecostal message under the anointing
of the Holy Spirit, a multitude were deeply convicted and a great Awakening
began: “Then they that gladly received God's Word were baptized: and the same
day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.” (Acts 2:41)
THAT WAS A GREAT MRACLE!
Three thousand were saved after hearing a Pentecostal message from a
backslidden apostle, who had repented of the most terrible SIN of cursing, swearing
and denying Jesus Christ. He had stated publicly that if he were not telling
the truth about not knowing ‘that man’ Jesus of Nazareth, let a curse
fall upon him!
How
could such an impossible thing transpire? Less than two weeks after cursing the
name of Jesus of Nazareth and on three occasions disowning the One who had
given him the authority to preach the gospel and heal the sick in His Name?
(Matt. 10:1,2)
He had repented of his grievous error and the precious BLOOD that flowed
from God’s Paschal Lamb had cleansed his spirit and purged his conscience. The
HOLY SPIRIT had changed a cursing coward into a powerful preacher of Christ’s
Gospel. And he was forgiven and restored!
After
Peter’s tragic renouncement of Christ, he was no longer a disciple!
After Christ’s resurrection, God’s angel spoke to the women who had come to the
tomb of Jesus: “And he saith unto them Be not affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of
Nazareth, which was crucified: He is risen; He is not here: behold where they
laid Him. But go your way, tell His disciples and Peter that He goeth
before you into Galilee: there shall ye see Him, as He said unto you.” (Mark
16:6,7)
“And they rose the same hour and returned unto Jerusalem, and found the
eleven gathered together, and them that were with them, Saying the Lord is
risen indeed, and hath appeared to Simon.” (Luke 24: 34)
You may ask,
“How could a loser like Simon Peter, less than two weeks after his lying denial
of Jesus Christ, become a powerful preacher whom God used to heal the sick and
raise the dead?”
Speak about the
Grace of God. Talk about His Mercy and Goodness. Herald His amazing Love. Shout
His praises. Sing about His unending Eternal Life! Rejoice in the power of His
atoning Blood and receive His all-encompassing Blessing for time and eternity!
Hallelujah to the Lamb upon the Throne on the Right hand of His Father!
Jesus had prayed
for him Peter that Satan wouldn’t have him, and he was baptized with the Holy
Spirit on the Day of Pentecost! “And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan
hath desired to have thee, to sift you as wheat: But I have prayed for thee,
that thy faith fail not; and when thou art converted, strengthen thy
brethren.” (Luke 22:31, 32)
“But ye shall
receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto Me both in Jerusalem, and
in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” (Acts
1: 8)
SIMON PETER PREACHED JESUS!
Not
only was Simon Peter converted and filled with the Holy Spirit, but His message
was ‘JESUS’ whom he had earlier denied. There are four great truths that we all
need to articulate and be fully consumed with, namely: The Blood of Jesus,
the Name of Jesus, the Word of God and the Holy Spirit!
The Bible says: “Ye men of Israel, hear
these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and
wonders and signs, which God did by Him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also
know: Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God,
ye have taken and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:
“Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the
pains of death: because it was not possible that He should be holden of it.
Therefore, let the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same
Jesus, whom ye crucified, both Lord and Christ.
“Now when they heard this, they were
pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles,
Men and brethren, What shall we do? Then Peter said unto them,
Repent and be baptized, every one of you in the Name of Jesus Christ for the remission
of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
“Then they that gladly received his word
were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand
souls.” (Acts 2:22-24, 36-41)
A CRIPPLED MAN IS HEALED!
The Apostles were men of faith and prayer.
Ten days of waiting on God in prayer and receiving the Holy Ghost and fire,
empowered the early Church. Three thousand men were converted which further
stoked their desire to pray. Peter and John were on their way to a prayer
meeting, when a miracle brought 5,000 men to Christ:
“And a certain man lame from his mother’s
womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is
called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple; who seeing
Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms. And Peter, fastening
his eyes on him with John, said, Look on us. And he gave heed unto them,
expecting to receive something of them.
“Then Peter said: In the name of
Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk. And he took him by the right hand
and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.
And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, waking,
and leaping, and praising God.
Peter accused them of deicide: “But ye
denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto
you: And killed the Prince of Life, who God hath raised from the dead; whereof
we are witnesses. And His Name through faith in His Name hath made
this man strong, whom ye see and know; yea, the faith which is by Him hath
given Him this PERFECT SOUNDNESS in the presence of you all.” (Acts 3:1-18)
The lame man who was healed had been born
with that condition. This brings us back to the Garden of Eden where God
created Adam and declared everything that He had created was good. When Jesus
healed the man born with an impediment in his body, He was restoring him to the
original perfect physical condition of mankind. St. Peter called it this
perfect soundness!
The Bible states: “God who at
sundry times and in diverse manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the
prophets, hath in these last days spoken unto us by His Son, whom He hath
appointed heir of all things, by whom also He made the worlds.” (Heb. 1: 1-2).
When Jesus healed the sick and afflicted,
He was doing what He had done in Eden. He was bringing them back
to physical perfection!
God created Adam, a masterpiece without sin,
sickness, fear or death! In all of God’s creation, there was nothing to compare
with Adam. He was the chief of God’s creation upon the earth and was given
authority and dominion over the various plant, mineral and animal kingdoms. He
was in perfect relationship with His Creator and God.
FATHER GOD
SURPRISED ADAM!
Adam walked and talked with His Father and
God in the cool of the day. There was total joy, peace and tranquility in the
Garden of Eden. Then one day, God surprised Adam with a special gift. He caused
a deep sleep to come upon Adam and God took a rib from his body and from it
formed a woman.
“And Adam said, This is now bone of
my bones and flesh of my flesh: She shall be called woman because she
was taken out of man. Therefore, shall a man leave his mother and father and
shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.” (Gen. 2: 22-24)
The amazing thing is that Adam knew by
the amazing knowledge that God had placed within him that he and Eve would have
children and that they would be one flesh! This Scripture gives us a
wonderful comparison of Christ and His Church:
“For the husband is the head of the wife,
even as Christ is the head of the church: and He is the saviour of the body.
Therefore, as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be unto their
own husbands in everything. Husbands love your wives even as Christ loved the
church and gave Himself for it. For we are members of His body, of His flesh
and of His bones.” (Eph. 5: 22-25, 30)
An old Jewish, Babylonian Talmud states:
“Woman was made from man. Not from his head to rule over him, nor from his feet
to be trampled upon by him. But from his side to walk with him, under his arm
to be protected by him and near his heart to be loved by him.”
WE ARE
BONE OF HIS BONES!
This
is one of the greatest truths found in the Bible: We are bone of His bone
and flesh of His flesh and our bodies are temples of the Holy Ghost! The
Holy Spirit lives in us and we are members of His Body. We are not our own. We
have been purchased with a price and we belong to Jesus Christ. The Mystery
that was hid for ages and dispensations was revealed to St. Paul, who lays bare
the whole story of our relationship with Jesus Christ!
St. Paul reveals the great MYSTERY that
our Heavenly Father had kept secret for ages and dispensations. Only God the
Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit knew the awesome plan of Redemption which
He revealed to St. Paul. He did not reveal this Mystery to Noah, Abraham,
Moses, Daniel or David.
What was this great Mystery? “Even
the Mystery which hath been hid from ages and generations, but now is made
manifest to His saints: To whom God would make known what is the riches
of the glory of this Mystery among the Gentles; which is Christ
in you, the hope of glory.” (Col. 1: 26, 27)
“That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and
unto all riches of the full understanding, to the acknowledgement of the Mystery
of God, and of the Father, and of Christ: in whom are hid all the treasures
of wisdom and knowledge.” (Col.1:2,3)
During EARLIER TIMES, God came upon the
prophets by His Holy Spirit. The Redemption of Christ, however, would be
different! His only begotten Son would be incarnated through His virgin birth.
He would fulfill all the prophecies that had gone on before Him, including His
vicarious death on the cross and His glorious resurrection from the dead and
ascension to the Father’s right hand.
THE HOLY
SPIRIT ENTERS BELIEVERS!
What was this Hidden Mystery that was
revealed to St. Paul by our Lord? God would pour His Holy Spirit into His
followers and the Church would be born. The Blessed Holy Spirit would dwell in
His Church and both Jews and Gentiles would be members of the Body of Christ!
The Bible says: “And when the day of
Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And
suddenly there came a sound from Heaven as of a rushing mighty wind and it
filled all the house where they were sitting.
“And there appeared unto them cloven
tongues like unto fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all FILLED
with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave
them utterance.” (Acts 2: 1-4)
St. Paul stated: “But now in Christ
Jesus, ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. For
He is our PEACE, who had made both (Jews and Gentiles) one, and hath broken
down the middle wall of partition between us; having abolished in His flesh the
enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances, for to make in
Himself of twain ONE NEW MAN, so making peace,
“And that He might reconcile both
unto God in one body by the CROSS, having slain the enmity thereby: and
came and preached peace to you who were afar off (Gentiles) and to them that
were nigh (Jews). For through Him (Jesus Christ) we both (Jews and
Gentiles) have access by one Spirit (Holy Spirit) unto the Father.
Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with
the saints, and of the household of God.
“And are built upon the foundation of the
apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ being the chief, Corner Stone, in Whom all
the building fitly famed together groweth unto
a holy temple in the Lord: In whom ye also are builded together
for an habitation of God through the Spirit.
St. Paul expounds: “How that by revelation
He made known to me the Mystery (as I wrote before in few words) whereby
when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the Mystery of Christ, which
in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto His holy apostles and prophets by the
Spirit;
“That the Gentiles should be fellow
heirs, and of the same body, and partakers of His promise in Christ by the
gospel: whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace
of God given not me by the effectual working of His power.
“Unto me, who am less than the least of
all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the
unsearchable riches of Christ; And to make all men see what is the fellowship
of the Mystery which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who
created all things by Christ:
To
the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might
be known by the CHURCH the manifold wisdom of God. According to the eternal
purpose which He purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord: In whom we have boldness
and access with confidence by the faith of Him.” (Eph.2: 13-22; 3: 3-12)
St. John warned: “…Hereby know ye the
Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the
flesh is of God. And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ
is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of
antichrist...”
What does that mean? Every spirit that
confesses that Jesus Christ is True God from eternity, was
incarnated (God in human flesh) and became True man through His
virgin birth, is of God! Every spirit that denies the deity of Jesus
Christ is a lying spirit!
“Ye are of God, little children and have
overcome them: Because Greater is He (Holy Spirit) that is in you, than he (Satan)
that is in the world.” (1 John 4: 4)
WE MUST GLORIFY GOD IN OUR BODIES!
“What? know ye not that your body is the
temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not
your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body,
and in your spirit, which are God’s. (1 Cor. 6: 19, 20)
“And the very God of peace sanctify
you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved
blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faithful is He that calleth
you.” (1 Th. 5:23, 24)
“Therefore if any man be in Christ Jesus,
he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become
new. And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to Himself by Jesus
Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation.
“Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ,
as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye
reconciled to God. For He hath made Him to be sin (sin offering) for us, who
knew no sin, that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.” (2 Cor.
5:17-21)
“I am crucified with Christ; nevertheless
I live, yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in
the flesh, I live by the faith of the
Son of God, who loved me, and gave
Himself for me.” (Gal. 2:20)
JESUS spoke of His grand mission of
saving a lost world: “Even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but
to minister, and to give His life as a RANSOM for many.” (Matt. 20: 28).
The truth of the matter is that we are
God’s properly, purchased by the precious blood of Jesus Christ. Since we
belong to God and our bodies are the temples of God, we should keep our body
are clean as possible and our spirits and minds pure!
The Bible says: “Know ye not that ye
are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man
defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy,
which temple ye are.” (1 Cor. 3: 16, 17)
RISE UP AGAINST INFIRM SPIRITS!
For
years we have been told that we should not smoke, drink alcohol or do drugs and cut
down on fatty foods, eat more fish and exercise more. That is all good and
well, but have you ever read in the Bible that there is divine healing promised
for believers in Christ? Have you evaluated your standing in God’s Kingdom and
the benefits available for spiritually weak, fearful and physically sick and
diseased persons? There are answers in the Holy Scripture outlining what we
must do to receive help from our Heavenly Father in Jesus’ Name!
Should we not oppose spirits of
infirmity, sickness and disease? Is it not time to study the Holy
Scriptures that declare God’s promise to heal the sick and suffering in Jesus’
name? Is it not irresponsible to reject the great power of the Holy Spirit to
bring deliverance to suffering believers? And what about unsaved relatives and
neighbours who will receive Jesus Christ as Saviour when He performs a miracle
for them!
Why do we allow cancer, heart
disease, arthritis, diabetes, infection and other diseases destroy our organs when
provision has been made for our healing through the Christian Faith? We must take
a stand against sin and Satan who seeks to destroy us with his sickness,
disease and infirmity! We must defend ourselves against the Devil through the
blood of Jesus, the Word of God and the Name of Jesus Christ!
The Bible says: “Be sober, be vigilant; because
your adversary the DEVIL, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may
devour; whom resist in the faith…” (2 Peter 5: 8); “Submit yourselves therefore
to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.” (James 4:7)
Let us all rise up in the power of the Holy
Spirit, and according to God’s precious Word, command Satan to desist in his
evil work and leave forthwith in Jesus’ all-powerful Name, for the glory of
God! Amen.
GOD PERFORMS
MIRACLES TODAY!
For 60 years, I have faithfully upheld Jesus’
Great Commission and declared the Gospel of Christ confirmed by signs, wonders
and miracles in Canada and around the world. And our Saviour has answered our
prayers and met the needs of the people! Glory be to His wonderful Name! Outstanding
miracles of healing and deliverance have occurred regularly in our ministry, for
which I give Jesus Christ honour, praise and glory! Jesus said. “Without Me ye can
do nothing.” (John 15: 3).
I
confess: ‘Nothing in my hand I bring. Simply to Thy cross I cling. Take
me as I am. My only plea, Christ died for me. Take me as I am! Amen.
God’s Healing Covenant:
“And
said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord your God, and
wilt do that which is sight in His sight, and wilt give ear to His
commandments, and keep all His statutes, I will put NONE of these diseases upon
thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the Lord that health
thee.” (Ex. 15: 26)
“Thou shalt not bow down to their gods,
nor serve them, or do after their work... And ye shall serve the Lord your God,
and He shall bless thy bread and water; and I will take sickness away from
the midst of thee.” (Ex. 23: 24, 25)
Christ’s Atonement Scriptures:
“Surely He hath borne our griefs, and
carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem Him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities,
the chastisement of our peace was upon Him and with His stripes we are healed.”
(Is. 53: 4,5)
“Who His own bare our sins in His own body
on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: By
whose stripes ye are healed.” (1 Peter 2: 24);

Benefits Confession!
“Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that
is within me, bless His holy Name. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not
all His benefits: who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who Healeth all thy diseases; who Redeemeth thy
life from destruction;
“Who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and
tender mercies: who satisfieh thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is
Renewed like the eagle’s. The Lord executeth righteousness and
judgment for all that are oppressed.” (Ps.103: 1-6)
“He brought them forth also with silver
and gold: and there was not one feeble person among their tribes.” (Ps.
105:37); “He hath sent His Word, and Healed them, and delivered them from
their destructions.” (Ps. 107: 20)
Jesus Christ’s Healing Ministry!
“When the even was come, they brought unto
Him many that were possessed with devils; and He cast out the spirits with His
word, and healed all that were sick: that it might be fulfilled which was
spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bear
our sicknesses.” (Matt. 8: 16,17)
“And Jesus went about all the cities and
villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the Gospel of the
Kingdom, and HEALNG every sickness and every disease among the people.
“But when He saw the multitudes, He was
moved with Compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad,
as sheep having no shepherd. Then said He unto His disciples, the harvest truly
is plenteous, but the labourers are few.” (Matt. 9: 35-37)

“How God anointed Jesus Christ of Nazareth
with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good and healing all
that were oppressed of the devil: for God was with Him.” (Acts 10: 38);
“He that committeth sin is of the devil;
for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was
manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.” (1 John 3:8)
THE TWELVE DISCIPLES SENT OUT!
“And
when He had called His twelve disciples, He gave them power against unclean
spirits, to cast them out, and to HEAL all manner of SICKNESS and all manner of
DISEASE. And as ye go preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal
the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have
received, freely give.” (Matt. 10:
1, 7, 8)
SEVENTY DISCIPLES SENT OUT!
“After these things the Lord appointed other
seventy also and sent them two and two before His face into every city and
place, whither He Himself would come. And into whatsoever city ye enter, and
they receive you, eat such things that are set before you: And heal the sick
that are therein, and say unto them, The Kingdom of God is come nigh unto you.
“And the seventy returned again with joy,
saying, Lord even the devils are subject unto us through Thy Name. And He said
unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from Heaven. Behold, I give unto
you POWER to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the
enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” (Luke 10:1, 17-19)
THE ELDERS OF THE CHURCH!
“Is
any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church: and let them
pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer
of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up: and if he have
committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.” (James 5: 14, 15)
HOLY COMMUNION: THE LORD’S SUPPER!
“The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not
the communion of the BLOOD of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion
of the body of Christ? For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we
are all partakers of that one bread.”
“For I have received of the Lord that
which also I delivered unto you, That the
Lord Jesus the same night that He was betrayed took bread: and when He had
given thanks, He brake it, and said, Take eat; this is My body which is broken
for you; this do in remembrance of Me.
“After
the same manner also He took the cup, when He has supped, saying, This cup is
the New Testament in My BLOOD; this do in remembrance if Me. For as often as ye
eat this bread and drink thus cup, ye do show the Lord’s death till he come.”
(1 Cor. 11: 23 -26)
EVERY BELIEVER!
“And He said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to
every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved. He that believeth
not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe. In My name
shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; they shall take
up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they
shall lay their hands on the sick and they shall recover.
“And they
went forth, and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and Confirming
the Word with Signs following.” (Mark 15: 1-18, 20)
“Ask and it
shall be given you; seek and ye shall find; knock and it shall be opened unto
you: For everyone that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to
him that knocketh it shall be opened.” (Matt. 7: 7,8)

Again our Lord
said: “Believe Me that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me: or else believe
Me for the very works’ sake. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth
on Me, the works that I do shall He do also; and greater works than these shall
he do; because I go unto My Father. And whatsoever ye shall ask in My Name,
that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask
anything in My name, I WILL DO IT.
“If ye love
Me keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father and He shall give you
another Comforter, that He may abide with you forever.” (John 14: 11-16); “If
ye abide in Me, and My words abide in ye, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall
be done unto you.” (John 15:7)
St. John
declared: “He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself; he
that believeth not God hath made Him a LIAR, because he believeth not the
record, that God hat given of His Son. And this is the record, that God hath given
to us eternal Life, and this Life is in His Son
“He that hath
the Son hath Life; and he that hath not the Son hath not Life. These things
have I written to you that believe on the Name of the Son of God; that ye may
know that ye have Eternal Life, and that ye may believe on the Name of the Son
of God.
“And this is
the confidence that we have in Him, that, if we ask anything according to His
will, He heareth us: And if we know that He hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know
that we have the petitions that we desired of Him.” (1 John 5: 10-15). Amen.

The leading orthopedic surgeon
showed Terry the x-ray they had just taken, saying, "If
any other doctor saw this x-ray and did not see the scars on your back and the
one hundred x-rays and the stack of reports from various hospitals and numerous
doctors during the past seventeen years about your case, he would say: “Young
man - you are a liar. You've never had an accident and you've never had any
surgeries” because your back is like a 20-year-old man!"

God Did What No Doctor Could Do!

A mine accident changed my life in 1977
and our little dream world fell apart! I had a home, family and a little
baby girl 5 months old, a new car, good job and everything we needed, until it
all collapsed one day!
I worked in the mines. And we had a lot of
trouble with the pipes pumping water from underground to surface. As I
began my shift one morning, I was told, “The pumps have stopped pumping
again. You’ll have to do a clean-out”!
Sometimes we had to use dynamite to get
them going, but they didn’t want us to use dynamite because it was too
dangerous and could do a lot of damage. I got under the pipe and began working on it when everything let
loose. When it let go, I was standing on the wet greasy platform.
The water pressure hit my chest and threw me backwards. I fell off the
platform and landed on my back, on a set of railroad tracks below!
I was taken to the hospital and they
tried different things. Nothing helped. Finally, they decided to
operate - the first of many - and took out a disk! I was told by the doctor
before the operation the chances were 50-50. After the operation, I was
no better. They tried other things. I went to doctors in Fredericton,
St. John, Halifax and Toronto. I saw a lot of them. No one could
help me! A doctor in Fredericton said, “Let’s try another operation”. So, I went back on the
operating table. This time he told me “there is no guarantee”.
I said, “Well, I look at it this way - we have to try
something”. Soon after the second operation, I started going to a
chiropractor and I continued going there for 13 ½ years. Eventually I did
get back to work, but I never had a pain free day for 17 years - NOT ONE MINUTE WITHOUT PAIN!
I learned to live with the
pain. Most of the time, I could live with it. When it got too bad
and I couldn’t stand it, I would go home, park my tractor trailer (18 -
wheeler) and stay in bed for a week or two and just get out of bed to get
treatment. When I got the pain under control, I would go back to work
again!
THE
DOCTORS AND CHIROPRACTORS KEPT TELLING ME “THIS IS NOT GOOD - YOU ARE DOING
MORE DAMAGE. EACH TIME YOU’RE DOING THIS, YOU’RE DOING MORE DAMAGE TO
YOUR BODY”!
Eventually, it got so bad I started losing
all feeling from the waist down. I’d be driving, when suddenly all
feeling would go from my waist down. There was nothing! I would
pull myself over with my arms into a different position, and the feeling would
come back and I’d keep on going.
THEN ONE DAY I BEGAN GETTING OUT OF THE
TRUCK, TURNED AROUND, STEPPED OUT AND THERE WAS NOTHING THERE. I LANDED
ON MY FACE ON THE GROUND, COMPLETELY PARALYZED FROM THE WAIST DOWN!
I laid there for quite a
while. Then I pulled myself over a little bit with my arms by the step of
the fuel tank. I tried to get myself in position to stand up when the
feeling would return, which it eventually did.
I went to see the doctor and told him
what had happened. He said, “You are going to have to stop
working. One of these days the feeling will not come back and you’ll be
in a wheelchair for the rest of your life”.
So I headed down to ‘Compensation’
again. They tried various procedures which they had not used before -
like hooking up different machines one after the other on me, BUT NOTHING
HELPED!
All the time I was going through this
pain and yet in the back of my mind I believed that someday a doctor would come
up with a cure. I would somehow meet a doctor who would help me!
Well, for the last 2 ½ years before my
miracle, I worked 6 months and I had a hard time to work those 6 months,
on and off!
ONE
DAY THEY ‘SAT ME DOWN’ ON THE BED AND TOLD ME, “THERE WILL NEVER BE A
CURE. YOU WILL EVENTUALLY BE IN A WHEELCHAIR. YOU WILL NEVER WORK
AGAIN!”
At that time, I faced reality - there was
no hope. I’d had people praying for me for 17 years. I had prayed
for myself. And when I finally gave up on the doctors and the people
around me and put my trust totally in the Lord, I got my miracle!
I was taking 3 times the amount of
prescribed medicines and yet I couldn’t stand the pain. I was
praying every night that God would take me home. That I would die!
Many days, I couldn’t sleep at all - day or night. My wife would hear me
crying and asking God to let me die.
I was allowed one pill every 4 hours,
another one every 12 hours and another one at night. I got so bad that I
would open up the bottle and take 2 or 3 at a time. I couldn’t wait the
four hours. The pills I was to take one every 12 hours, I would take 2 or
3 every 3 or 4 hours.
PASTOR MAX
CAME TO LYTTLETON
I was born and raised in a Christian home and
went to the Baptist Church in Lyttleton. My daughter Tasha started
attending the Pentecostal Church. She said, “Dad, there is a man
coming who preaches the gospel and prays for the sick and many get
healed. Will you come?”
I said, “Tasha, I’d love to go
but with the pain I’m in and the suffering I’m going through - I wouldn’t be
able to sit through the service”.
At that time, I still believed that there
was a doctor coming - I still had that in the back of my mind - I would be
cured through medical science.
So anyway, Pastor Max came and she asked
him to pray for me. And he gave her an anointed prayer cloth for me to
use. I carried that cloth until he came back in September.
When Tasha told me that he
was returning, she asked, “Dad, will you come”? I said, “Tasha,
I don’t know how I can do it but, I will go. I promise you I will”.
I have a good friend, Mervin Mutch,
whom I work with. He called me on Thursday and said, “What are you
doing?” I said, “Nothing”. He asked, “How’s your back?” I
answered, “Terrible”.
He said, “I’m coming down to see you”. I said,
“Yeah, come on down.” He said, “I’ve got something I want to show you.” He
brought down the ‘BETTY BAXTER STORY’ of God’s miracle in her life! I finally got to see most of it (sitting, standing and
lying down) - in starts and stops - and saw what God had done for her.
Mervin asked, “Will you come to
the Max Solbrekken Crusade? I answered, “I promised my daughter
and I’m going to promise you that I will go to the meeting even though I do not
know how I can stand the pain”.
On Friday night I didn’t go because the
pain was too great. Saturday, the pain was as bad as the night
before. Cathy asked, “Are you going to church tonight”?
I answered, “I don’t know. I’m in an awful lot of pain”. She
said, “You promised!” I asked her if she was going, and she
said she was not.
I said, “I think I’ll go”,
and as soon as I said those words, the pain got worse. I’m sure it was
the devil trying to keep me away from the crusade.
I took a bunch of pills before going. I
took 3 of the ones I was to take one every 4 hours. The pills I was
to take every 12 hours, I put 2 in my pocket and I went to the church and sat
on the back seat.
Mervin came to me and said, “Come
sit with me at the front and when Max prays for the sick, you’ll be right
there.” I said, “No, I’ll be in so much pain, I’ll have to go in and
out and I don’t want to disturb the service so I’ll stay at the back”.
After Brother Max was through preaching,
he asked if anyone wanted prayer. A lot of people went for prayer so I
thought, “I’ll stay here until they are finished”.
Mervin started to bring me to the altar
area when Pastor A.W. Rowe approached me. I was in bad
shape. He asked, “What is your name”? I told
him. He said, “We’ve been praying for you for a long time.
After Pastor Max is finished praying with this person, I’m going to tell him
you’re here”.
Pastor Max asked me to sit down on a
chair, took my feet in his hands and tried to raise my legs but the pain was so
bad I couldn’t lift them very high.
AS HE PRAYED, I WAS INSTANTLY
HEALED. THE PAIN ALL LEFT. NO MORE PAIN. I COULDN’T BEND OVER
ENOUGH TO GET MY FINGER TIPS BELOW MY KNEE CAPS BUT INSTANTLY I COULD TOUCH MY
TOES AND JUMP UP AND DOWN AND LIFT HEAVY THINGS! I WAS IN SHOCK!
I stayed after the service and picked up Pastor
A.W. Rowe - who weighed 230 lbs. - and a few other people. As
I was leaving the church I thought I’ll go and tell Mom and Dad who lived about
1 ½ miles from the church, but decided to go right home (about 15-20 miles) so
that my wife would be the first to know about my miracle.
I thought, “I’ve had this for
17 years and I’ve got a wife and 2 children who have been with me through
everything”.
When I got home, the house was empty.
My wife had gone to visit her sister and the kids were with their
friends. I got wild and I ran up and down the stairs, did push-ups and
sit-ups with no pain whatsoever
THEN
I GOT DOWN ON MY KNEES
AND THANKED GOD! PRAISE
THE LORD!
When
my wife got home, she was at the sink and I came up behind her and said, “Guess
what?” She said, “You got healed”! I
said, “Yes I got healed”. She turned around and looked
at me. And she knew that the pain was gone!
I
love my children and I love my wife. She’s been with me now for 22
years. For 17 of those years, I was crippled up. I have a daughter
and a son who’ll be 17 and 20 this summer.
I COULDN’T DO ANYTHING WITH THEM
FOR 17 YEARS. I COULDN’T PICK THEM UP FOR 17 YEARS. ANYTIME I WAS
WORKING, WHEN I WOULD COME HOME I DIDN’T TRY TO DO ANYTHING WITH THEM SO AS NOT
TO HURT MY BACK. I WASN’T ALLOWED TO PICK UP ANYTHING AND COULDN’T!
BUT I’VE BEEN DOING STUFF WITH THEM IN THE LAST 3 YEARS LIKE WATER-SKIING AND
SKI-DOOING!
The pain used to be so terrible that I, as
a grown man, would lie in bed at night and cry and couldn’t sleep for days
because of the terrible pain. It’s hard when a grown man would lie in bed,
night after night, and cry and pray that God would take me home. That I
could die!
My wife heard me pray this prayer night
after night. I didn’t want to leave my family, but I couldn’t stand the
pain. I couldn’t deal with the pain anymore, but for nearly 3 years now I
have been pain free. NO PAIN and NO PILLS!
EACH STAKE WEIGHS 200 LBS.
I’ve
been working ever since my miracle from God. I work in the woods and I’ve
been trucking everyday - hauling logs - I have twelve stakes which I have to
change 2 or 3 times a day. Before my miracle - others had to change my
stakes for me. Since the miracle I change all my own stakes!
On
the night of my miracle, my daughter and son came home. Tasha’s
boyfriend’s family has a motorboat and I said, “You know what, next
summer I’m going to go water-skiing”!
And
the following summer they got me in the boat and I went water-skiing.
People say to me, “You went water-skiing?” And I say, “I’ve
got a problem. I’m 40 years old and I’ve got a 20- year- old mind”.
I’m doing all those things
now I couldn’t do for 17 years. I’ve done stuff I’ve never done in my
life! And my wife says that she’s got a new husband and the children say
that they have a new Dad.
And we all praise God
together for it!

Cathy Somers: I’ve got a new husband in
every way. And --I thank God for it!
Pastor Max: Pastor A.W. Rowe
faxed me 17 pages from the Workman’s Compensation Board’s doctors and
specialists regarding Terry Somers.
Terry: Exactly one month after the
miracle happened, I went back to the specialist and after x-rays and a thorough
examination he said:
“IF
YOU DID NOT HAVE THE SCARS ON YOUR BACK OR THE MONOGRAMS AND ALL THE EXTENSIVE
MEDICAL REPORTS, ANY DOCTOR EXAMINING YOU OR X-RAYING YOUR SPINE WOULD SAY THAT
YOU NEVER HAD THE ACCIDENT OR WERE EVER OPERATED ON. YOUR BACK IS THE
SAME AS BEFORE YOU HAD THE ACCIDENT”.
Cathy: It’s like having a new
life. Now we can do a lot of things together as a family!
MERVIN MUTCH TESTIFIES:
“Well, I phoned
Terry the day before Max Solbrekken was coming to Lyttleton for a Labour Day
Rally in 1994. I asked Terry how he was. He said, “Not good.
My back is in bad shape. I can’t do anything”. He said that he had
two operations where they removed a disc and the nerves were damaged. He
told me about all the hospitals he had spent time in and that the doctors
report was always “There is nothing we can do. There is no hope.
Your case is incurable”.
“He said that he was just a young man, but he would
just as soon die. I said, “Terry you don’t
need to believe that. God Almighty can heal your back. Max
Solbrekken is coming here Friday and you come on up”. I asked if he had a VCR and I took Betty
Baxter’s testimony tape of how God healed her from several incurable diseases. Terry’s hope was built up when he saw the video
and he promised me that he would attend the crusade!
“He
didn’t come on Friday and on Saturday his wife Cathy and
daughter Tasha got after him to go. On Sunday night when I came
here, he was standing at the door and I noticed he was in pain, leaning against
the wall. I said, “Terry come and sit with me near the front”,
but he said that he needed to sit near the back so that he could get up and
move around because of the pain. He didn’t know whether he could even stay for
the service because of the terrible pain he was experiencing.
I said, “Alright,
after Max finishes preaching and calls for the sick, you come up”.
After his message, people began coming forward for prayer but I saw Terry still
at the back leaning against the wall so I went back to get him. I said, “Terry come on up, you’ve got nothing to lose.”
“Pastor
Max sat him down on a chair and prayed and then in a minute or two, Terry was
jumping up and down saying that all the pain was gone. Then Pastor Max
asked him to lift Pastor A.W. Rowe who weighed 230 lbs. and that kinda
scared me, but he did it with no ill effects.
“I thought – ‘A
man who could not lift anything just a few minutes earlier can now lift a man
weighing 230 lbs. That’s the work of God Almighty’. He is no
respecter of persons and what He has done for Terry, He can do for anyone else!
“Terry
wanted to go back to work right away. I told Pastor Max and was a bit
worried that he could overdo it, but he said, ‘These miracles usually stand. They hold good’.
“TERRY WORKED FOR A FULL WEEK AND ON THE FRIDAY HE WAS AS FRESH AS ANY
OTHER HEALTHY PERSON! Praise God!”
Pastor Max: Tasha, what do
you think about all this? Tasha: Great. I love it. I’ve got
a new Dad! Pastor Max: How
about you Terrence? How do you feel about your Dad’s miracle? Terrence: I
love it! My Dad’s a new man, and we’ve got a new family!
