Robert Metzgar graciously
sent me several discs of great artists which he had produced through Platinum
Plus Records of Nashville, Tennessee. On the 'Smoky River Boys' there
is a song that gripped my heart. The song is called, 'Happy Father's
Day, Mother'.
It was written by
a young man whose father had passed away when he was two years of age and his
mother only twenty - two. He gives tribute to his mother on Father's Day as
well as Mother's Day because she had taught him how to be a boy and a man just like
his Dad would have done!
President Abraham Lincoln stated: “All that that I am or ever hope
to be, I owe to my angel mother.” Here is good advice to Dads: “If you want your
children to love you, be good to their mother!”
Today I give tribute
to my precious mother who gave herself without reservation together with my
dear father, for their six children. They are both with the Lord after having
lived the kind of lives that made me want to be a Christian.
When I
looked for a wife, I wanted her to be like my mother!
I give tribute today to my
precious wife Donna who has been a tower of strength to our family and when I
had to be away in my overseas Crusades for long periods of time, Donna was
there. I salute her in Jesus' name. Thank you, Darling!
For mothers
everywhere, I say: "I am proud of you all. May the blessings of
Almighty God through Jesus Christ our Lord bring peace, joy, health and
happiness to every home and family. In Jesus' name, Amen."
