WITH GOD ALL THINGS POSSIBLE

THE SNAKE'S HEAD WAS CRUSHED!
Many people have heard me preach a message titled, ‘The Snake is Dead’. In it I share God’s Word about the judgment that Almighty God delivered to Satan after Adam and Eve’s tragic fall. God told the Devil: “And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her SEED. It shall bruise (Crush) your head and thou shalt bruise His heel.” (Gen.3:15)
In this prophecy Almighty God laid out His great plan of salvation: He would send the Deliverer, Jesus the seed of the woman, to crush Satan’s head thus destroying him eternally. The Deliverer would be incarnated (born of a virgin), and therefore sinless. His vicarious death would meet the demands of God’s Justice, thereby satisfying His anger against the sin of High Treason committed by Adam and Eve.
The Deliverer would be His own incarnated Son whose heel would be bruised through death but healed in His resurrection! God the Father has arranged everything for our benefit. Praying in faith and binding the demons of infirmity and disease in Jesus’ name, the gift of faith brings God's power into operation!
Isaiah the prophet states: "He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and aquainted with grief: and we hid our faces from Him; He was despised and we esteemed Him not. Surely, He hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem Him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
"But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities, the chastisement of our peace upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned everyone to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on Him the iniquity of us all.
"He was oppressed, and He was afflicted, yet He opened not His mouth: He is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before his shearers is dumb, so He opened not His mouth. And He made His grave with the wicked, and with the rich in His death; because He had done no violence, neither was any deceit in His mouth.
"Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise Him; He hath put Him to grief: when thou shalt make His soul an offering for sin, He shall prolong His days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in His hand." (Is. 53: 3-10)
JESUS GAVE HIMSELF FOR US!
St. Paul puts it all in perspective: "Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ, Who gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us from this present EVIL world, according to the will of God and our Father: To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen." (Gal. 1: 3-5)
"Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet (qualified) to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of Darkness, and hath translated us into the Kingdom of His dear Son: in whom we have Redemption through His Blood, even the forgiveness of sins.
"Whereof I am made a Minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfill the Word of God; even the Mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to His saints:
"To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. But in Him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in Him which is the head of all principality and power.
"Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to His Cross. And having spoiled principalities and powers, He made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it." (Col. 1:12-14; 25-27; 2: 9,10)
THE GOSPEL IS GOOD NEWS!
Jesus said: "The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He hath anointed Me to preach the Gospel to the poor; He hath sent Me heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind; to set at liberty them that are bruised." (Luke 4: 18)
The Gospel is the glad tidings that Light is come into a world of Darkness; that Peace is come into a world of Turmoil; that Healing is come into a world of Sickness; that Love is come into a world of Hate; that Forgiveness is come into a world of Sin; that Life is come into a world of Death; that Freedom is come into a world of Bondage and Slaves are made Free through the Liberator of the Human Race. And that Light, Peace, Healing, Love, Forgiveness, Life, Freedom, Liberty, and Eternal Life is none other than Jesus Christ, the Eternal Son of God, Crucified for us and Risen from the dead!
The Bible says: "How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of he devil; for God was with Him." (Acts 10: 38).
Jesus is the Head of the Church, our leader and our example. He came to earth to do the will of His Father and also to make His Father our Father. Everything He did glorified His Father. His vicarious death and glorious resurrection purchased forgivemess for our sins, healing of the sick, freedom from demons and our eternal salvation!
His Great Commission commanded: "Go ye into all the world, and preach the Gospel to every creature. He that beliveth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In My name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; they shall take up serpents and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall revover." (Mark 16:1-18)
GOD HEALED OUR DAUGHTER'S KIDNEYS!
The July, 1984 Cry of the Coming Magazine carried this letter from Nina and Lasse Steen, Bergen, Norway: God healed our daughter's kidneys.
In December, 1983 God visited our home and healed our 5 year-old daughter Cecile. Ever since birth he had trouble with her kidneys and would wet her clothes many times every day.
There was nothing she could do about it and nothing the doctors could do until last December when God sent His servant Pastor Max Solbrekken from Canada to hold a large crusade at the Eldorado Senter here in Bergen. Hundreds of people were saved healed and blessed during those wonderful days.
Pastor Max Solbrekken stayed, by the will of God, in our Mission Hotel. Daily, he came and worshipped with us and faith rose in our hearts, to ask him for special prayer for little Cecile. We were having coffee one day when Cecile came in with her friend from outside where they had been playing. As usual, she was soaking wet.
After Nina washed and changed her clothes, Pastor Solbrekke put her on his knee and prayed a heart gripping prayer to the Lord for her healing. She was instantly healed and a staggering miracle occurred. There has not been as much as a DROP since that day! To God be the glory, great things He hath done!
CRUSHED HIPBONE HEALED
BY INSTANT MIRACLE OF GOD!

I had been a bakslidden Christian for 16 years. In spite of this I decided to attend the meetings of Max Solbrekken in Narvik. When Max made the altar call the first night I was there... there was a terrible battle going on within me. It was as if I heard a voice saying, "This not for you – You are not among the chosen ones."
But, there was another voice telling me that this was my opportunity. But I just remained quiet in my seat, and when I went home, it was as if a voice was telling me that this chance would be one of my last ones. It became very serious to me, and it also scared me.
So, I went back to the meeting the very next night, and this time I responded to the call. I came back to Jesus and it was a great relief! But something else happened. But to tell that, I must go back in time to give you the whole story.
I FELL AND BROKE MY HIP!
Before Christmas, I fell and broke my hip and I had to have surgery. I had to stay at home for 16 weeks, but when I returned to the hospital for a check-up, the doctor was not at all pleased with the fracture. I was told to use 2 crutches until the 4th of April. But when I returned for another check-up, the doctor was still not pleased with the fracture because it had not healed like it was supposed to. So I had to use 2 crutches until the 16th of May.
When I had another check-up, the doctor was not at all satsfied but allowed me, on my responsibility, to drop one of the crutches. The doctor told me to be extremely careful, and only step very cautiously on my foot. And I was allowed to do this only indoors. When I came to the meeting the second night (July 3), I could neither bend my left leg – where my hip had been fractured, nor could I walk straight. I was dragging my left leg behind me, and it really hurt. It was almost impossible for me to walk up the steps of the stairs.
When Max Solbrekken had finished praying for everyone that had come forward, somebody got him to come down where I was sitting. And he laid his hands on my hip and prayed for me. Something warm went through my hip and my back and my leg. And all the pain disappeared immediately. Afterwards I walked back and forth on the floor, and I even ran and walked up and down the stairs to the platform with no pain with no pain and no diffiulties whatsoever.
I can't explain what happened, but I was instantly and completely healed, and I can only thank God for what He did for me. He is wonderful!

MY MOTHER WAS INSTANTLY HEALED!
My Mother was instantly healed of a serious 6 year-long illness at the Bethesda Healing Home near Oslo Norway, while waiting her turn to go into the water. As she stood thinking about the ice cold water of the North Sea, a warm feeling came all over her and she walked into the water and out again perfectly well. She took the train home, walked 28 kilometers to her home. She got married, bore six children and was never sick a day in her lifme of that disease.
That warm feeling that came over her was the blessed Holy Spirit. He is the Healer Whom Jesus sent to the church on the Day of Pentecost so many years ago! It was the Holy Spirit of God that enveloped her and made her perfectly well.
A wonderful miracle happened in the beginning of our powerul 1968 Revival Meeting at Filadelfia Assembly in Oslo Norway. During my message, a woman lifted her hand to get my attention. I stopped preaching and asked what she wanted. Excitedly, she said: “I have suffered terrible pains affecting the mobility of my leg for ten years. Just now, I felt a large warm hand on my thigh and all the pains are gone. I can move my leg without pain. Praise God”.
I asked her to walk down the aisle. She did with great joy. All pains were gone! All the people rejoiced as the Revival leaped forward with God answering prayer and blessing for the next three weeks!
MELBA PHILIPS HEALED BY CHRIST!
In the 1980’s I was conducting a Divine Healing Service in Vancouver, BC together with Dr. D.H. Phillips. He shared the testimony of his miraculous recovery after a tragic automobile accident. His wife Melba came to be with us in that meeting. Unknown to me, Melba had suffered many years with raynaud's syndrome.
Her feet and legs were ice cold and even in the summer, she wore sheepskin shoes around the house. Her husband Durwin stated that if his wife’s feet touched his leg while in bed, he would wake up from the freezing cold in her feet. Two of her uncles had suffered from the same disease and had to have amputations.
That evening I preached on, ‘EMMANUEL: GOD WITH US!” I declared that Jesus is called Emmanuel and that He is with us and through the blessed Holy Spirit He is in us. I declared that because He is with us and in us we have His peace, love, joy, assurance of sin’s forgiven and power over Satan!
“Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them because greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world.” (1 John 4.4)
The devil must bow before Christ our Lord, when we speak in His holy name! He that is in us is greater than the devil that is in the world. Sin must bow, fear must bow, sickness must bow and the world, flesh and the Devil must bow before Him.
I quoted St. Paul: “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made Himself of no reputation, and took upon Him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found the death of the cross.
“Wherefore God also hath highly exalted Him and given Him a name which is above every name: That at the name of JESUS every knee should bow of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father.” (Phil.2: 9-11)
While I was preaching about Jesus Christ, who was God in the flesh and had been wounded, bruised, chastised and scourged for our total deliverance, the Holy Spirit reached out and touched Melba. Suddenly, a warm feeling came over her and she reached down to touch her ankles. They were warm as toast.
Jesus Christ had touched her as she listened to the inspired Word of God. She had made a Demand upon His Ability and He delivered her from a very serious disease! To God be the glory, honour and praise forever and ever!
A MIRACLE IN LYTTLTON, NB
The Lord granted us a notable creative miracle during our September 1994 Crusade at the Pentecostal Church in Lyttleton, New Brunswick. Pastor A.W. Rowe, a very dear friend and one of Newfoundland’s great preachers had come out of retirement to shepherd that flock.
Living in the area was Terry Somers a young man who had been seriously injured during an accident while working in a mine. While trying to repair a large water pipe, the pressure returned and knocked Terry off the platform onto the railway tracks below. He was taken to the hospital and underwent several surgeries, leaving him with constant unbearable nerve pains!
For the next seventeen years Terry suffered enormous nerve pain, taking three times the amount of pain killing pills, to no avail. He saw doctors in Halifax, St. Johns and Toronto and no one could help him. He was ordered not to drive the logging truck as he would sometimes lose all feeling in his legs. He was placed on permanent total disability by Workmen’s Compensation.
Once he parked his rig on the side of the road and when he stepped onto the ground he had no legs, but fortunately was able use his arms to pull himself out of harm’s way. Terry had never been able to hold his children when they were young or lift anything over ten pounds. And he prayed nightly that he could die.
Then, one day he heard the good news that people were being healed by the Lord at the Pentecostal Church. Mervin Mutch, a leading Deacon in that Church visited Terry and told him about our coming crusade. He brought with him a tape of Betty Baxter’s miraculous healing.
Due to the intensity of the pain, Terry had to remain in the foyer of the Church because he could not sit still during the service and before coming to the meeting Terry doubled up on all his pills but was still in enormous pain. After my message Pastor A.W. Rowe brought Terry Somers to the platform expecting a miracle!
Terry was instantly healed by God’s supernatural power as I prayed in the matchless name of Jesus of Nazareth. After prayer, he stated that the pain was gone and leaped in the air, shouting hallelujahs.
He picked up a ten- year- old girl standing nearby, lifted me up and finally lifted 245 pound A.W. Rowe and danced all over the platform with him in his arms. Terry has not had a pain or taken pill for anything during the last 19 years since Jesus healed him!
New Brunswick’s leading orthopedic surgeon wrote a letter to Workmen’s Compensation Board requesting that Terry be released from his total disability pension because he was perfectly well. In his letter he twice stated that Terry believed that he was divinely healed, as he also did. His Examination proved that the discs that had been damaged or removed by surgery were supernaturally replaced.
The well-known orthopedic surgeon told Terry that if any medical doctor examining the x-ray he had taken and had not seen the scars on Terry’s back or the hundreds of x-rays and doctor’s reports taken earlier, that Doctor would say that Terry was a liar and had never been in an accident or had any surgery because his spine was like a 20 year old man and everything worn or removed had been replaced.
I was fully convinced that Terry would be healed that evening in Lyttleton. And when Terry and I together touched the hem of His garment, Jesus Christ heard us and performed that glorious miracle for His glory and honour! We made a demand upon His ability and the Sign and Wonder of God happened!
HOW MUCH ABILITY DOES JESUS HAVE?
Jesus said: “All power is given unto Me in Heaven and in earth.” (Matt. 28:18); “Then said Jesus unto them again, Peace be unto you, as My Father hath sent Me so send I you.” (John 20, 21); “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but My Words shall not pass away.” (Matt.23:35); “The Blood of Jesus Christ God’s Son cleanseth us from all sin.” (1 John 1: 7); “My peace give I unto thee…” (John 14: 27).
Nothing in my hands I bring, simply to Thy Cross I cling. Take me as I am. My only plea, Christ died for me. Take me as I am. All honour, praise and glory goes 100 % to my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen! m.s.
