I AM CRUCIFID WITH CHRIST
by: Pastor
Max Solbrekken, D.D.
(1) God’s
goodness leads me to repentance.
“Or
despiseth thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering;
not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to
repentance? (Romans 2:4)
(2) God’s
mercy endureth forever.
"O
give thanks unto the Lord for He is good; for His mercy endureth forever."
(Psalm 136: 1, 2,3)
(3) God’s
love is past finding out.
“O
the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How
un-searchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!
For
who hath known the mind of the Lord? Or who hath been his
counsellor? Or who hath first given to him, and it shall be
recompensed unto him again? Romans 11:33-35)
(4) God
is not a man that He should lie (repent/change).
Hath
he said, “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down
from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of
turning. (James 1:17)
(5) God’s
patience with me overwhelms me.
“And
account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our
beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him
hath written unto you; (2 Peter 3:15)
(6) God’s
grace is sufficient to meet all my needs.
“Or
despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering;
not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to
repentance? (Romans 2:4)
(7) As
far as the east is from the west, so far hath He removed our transgressions
from us.” (Psalm 103:12)
(8) God’s
wisdom is above all understanding and too great for human knowledge or
pondering. "But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, ten
peaceable, gentle, easy to be entreated full of mercy and good fruits, without
partiality and without hypocrisy.
"
And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them tat make
peace." (James 3: 16, 17))
(9) As
a mountain in comparison to a pebble on the beach is God’s stature so far above
men. "The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: because the Spirit of
the Lord bloweth upon it: surely the people is grass. The grass withereth, the
flower fadeth: the Word of our God shall stand forever." (Isaiah 39: 7,8)
(10) God
promises to give us His strength if we serve Him: "He
giveth power to the faint; and to tem that have no might He increaseth
strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, an the young men
shall utterly fall.
"But
they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up
with wings as eagles; they shall run and not be weary; and they shall walk and
not faint." (Isaiah 40"29-31)
MARTIN LUTHER STATED:
(11) Martin
Luther stated, “I live as though Jesus Christ died yesterday, arose today and
is coming tomorrow. (Luther’s total submission to God’s call on His
Life.)
(12) God
casts our sins into the bottom of the sea.
“He
will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our
iniquities; and thou will cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.”
(Micah 7:19)
(13) God
is my Father, Jesus is My Saviour and ADVOCATE, the Holy Spirit is my guide and
Intercessor.
“Likewise
the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray
for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with
groanings which cannot be uttered.” (Romans 8:26)
“But
as many as received him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even
to them that believe on His name:” (John 1:12)
“Wherefore
He is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by Him, seeing
He ever liveth to make intercession for them.” (Hebrews 7:25)
(14) I
am crucified with Christ! When Christ died, I died. When
He arose, I arose and when He returns, I will come with Him.
“I
am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ
liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of
the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” (Galatians 2:20)
“So
Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for
him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.” (Hebrews 9:28)
“Beloved,
now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we
know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as
he is.
And
every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is
pure.” (1 John 3:2-3)
(15) I
am Hid with Christ in God!
“For
ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.” (Colossians 3:3)
(16) God
is gracious and long suffering.
“The
LORD is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great
mercy.” (Psalm 145:8)
(17) God
is righteous, Holy and merciful to all who call upon Him in sincerity and
truth.
"God
be merciful unto us, and bless us and cause His face to shine upon us. That Thy
way be known upon earth, The Saving Health among all people." (Psalm 67:
1,2)
(18) God
rewards such persons who prostrate themselves before Him in submission and fear
of the Lord.
"The fear of the Lord is
the beginning of wisdom and; and the knowledge of the HOLY is
understanding." (Proverbs 9: 10)
(19) He
is not a God who is afar off but is nigh unto all who call upon Him in
sincerity and a broken heart, in faith believing.
“Am
I a God at hand, saith the LORD, and not a God afar off?” (Jeremiah
23:23)
(20)
"But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he thay cometh
to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that
diligently seek Him." (Heb. 11:6)
With
faith in His finished work on Calvary for us, we receive His forgiveness,
peace, healing and salvation and Sonship in His eternal Kingdom; world without
end!
AMEN.
