GOD'S MERCY & GRACE IN THE LIFE OF MOSHE WEINBERGER By Pastor Max Solbrekken, D.D.
Brother & Sister Moshe Weinberger, 1974 GOD'S MERCY IN THE LIFE OF MOSHE WEINBERGER
On various occasions people have asked about the great miracles God has done as I have prayed in Jesus' Name. There are many like the amazing miracle our Lord did for Geraldine Rideout in 1968 that shocked the Medical profession. She was the only person that we knew about healed of osteogenesis imperfecta! There are many other great miracles we have witnessed.
Only on a few occasions have I spoken about the amazing miracle God gave to Moshe Weinberger of Winnipeg at the Edmonton Revival Centre on 149th. and Jasper Ave. in 1972. It has been documented and his testimony was carried in our magazine, the Cry of His Coming! After many major international crusades, we purchased the Tivoli Ballroom and were in constant Holy Spirit revival.
People came from far and wide to receive God's blessings!
In 1972 a man came to see me. He had travelled by Bus from Winnipeg and wanted to take in a few days of the revival. I invited him to use the Evangelist's suite since I was preaching.
He was greatly blessed as the people were revived and miracles were happening The following day he came down to my office and explained why he had travelled to Edmonton. He had heard the miracles testimonies from our Winnipeg Crusade and felt urged to see me personally to share why he made the journey!
Moshe Weinberger was a young Jewish man in Germany and was repeatedly beaten, interegated and castorated. He was forced by Hitler's Gestapo to unload Jews from railway cars into Auschwitz death camps. This he did regularly until the liberating forces arrived.
When the U. S. Army approached the site they found Moshe Weinberger locked into a Railway box car with about 100 others. Some had died and many were near death, but Moshe survived. As a free man he was given a pass to Winnipeg, Manitoba and a new life there.
One day as he was visiting a certain area he saw the sign Indian Mission. He
heard Gospel Music and went inside. The people attending the meeting were mostly Native Indians. They were friendly and he kept attending.
The Pastor was a woman and Moshe asked her if he could do some repair work on the windows and the chairs. She was pleased and he also became regular attender. One day he knelt and asked Jesus into his heart.
After some time they decided to get married. Moshe told her of the horrible misdeed the Nazi had performed on him. The lady pastor said that would be no problem because she was much older than Moshe! They were married and were doing a great work together at the Indian Mission in Winniprg.
The question Moshe asked me was, "Can God restore my private parts?"
After some hours of intense prayer, I said, "Moshe, God is the Creator. He can do what no human hand can do! Be prepared to receive a miracle during our powerful altar service. When I begin praying for the sick in the crowd of worshippers around the altar, I will lay my hands on you in total faith.
Just before praying for Moshe, I prayed for Mrs. Johnson from Prince Albert who had one lung removed by surgery. The power of God struck her and she shouted, "I am healed. I now have two lungs as before the operation!"
I asked Sister Heppner to take her into a side room and see if she had two lungs. When they came out affirming the miracle, I turned and laid my hands on Moshe's head in Jesus' name. He fell straight backward like a pole.
In the morning when I arrinved for work, Moshe was standing with his top coat on and his travel case waiting for the BUS. I said, "Good Morning, Moshe, "Did you get a miracle last night?"
He said," Good Morning, Brother Max. I'm going home." I said, "Moshe, don't play games with me. Did you or did you not get what you came for? He grinned and said, "YES, HALLELUJA. I GOT THE MIRACLE AND I'M GOING HOME!"
Moshe Weinberger's Wife Testifies in 1974
In I974 we set up our Big Tent in Winnipeg. We had a small house trailer near the tent. The Indian Mission was one of the churches backing our Crusade.
One evening as I was walking into the tent, I met Moshe and his wife holding hands and walkling happily towards the tent door. I greeted them and both greeted me. We shook hands. Moshe said,"Praise the Lord, Brother Max!
His wife added, "Brother Max, I've got to talk to you, alone!
We both stepped aside and she said, "Pray for Moshe." I said, "I did pray for him and he said that he got a miracle." She answered, "That's the problem, He's Got Too Much."
I answered, "Sister Weinberger, That is not my department. You will have to talk to God about that!
To God be all the Honour, praise and glory!
My precious friend, call upon the Name of the LORD in faith, asking Him to wash away your sins and He will become your Saviour, Lord and Master! Amen.
